What things did Captain Moroni value? (Answer: God, religion, freedom, peace, family) We
could tell that these things were very important to Captain Moroni because he was willing
to fight and maybe even die to protect these things.
ASK- Where did Captain Moroni write his list of most important things? (Answer: a flag he
made from his coat) After they had chased away Amalickiah, where did Captain Moroni put
his flag? (Answer: on every tower) Why do you think he put it there? (Answer: So he and
all his people could see it and remind them what was most important to them.
We are going to have the chance to make our own Title of Liberty Flags. I hope that as we
see our flags, we will remember what is most important to us and which things we are going
to think of as we make decision every day.

either draw those things or choose them from the pictures on the sheet provided and cut

Title of Liberty Trip-Up

Essentially this is the game “steal the Bacon.” Divide your

family into 2 teams. The teams sit in a straight line
opposite each other. A small flag (Title of Liberty) is
placed on the floor in the center of the two teams. Each
participant is then given a Book of Mormon name (see
accompanying list- Participants may choose their name,
or you may have them draw from the cards provided.
Give the cards drawn to the “leaderite” to use when
calling names). The “leaderite” then calls out two Book of
Mormon names – one from each opposing team. Each
person called must then decide between two options: 1.
He may go for the flag in the center of the room and
return to his seat before being tagged by the other
person, thus receiving one point for his team, 2. He may
decide to tag the other person who is going for the flag. If
he tags the other person before that person returns to his seat with the flag, he
receives a point for his team. The team with the most points wins. (Wou might
want to consider no points. ☺)

Equipment Needed:
Flag in Styrofoam in middle of floor or if outside you can just stick it in the grass.
Several chairs in two straight lines facing each other.
