INTRODUCTION
An over-unity machine is described here: a Buoyancy machine. This machine has not been built to date (June98) and would be expensive for the estimated power output. However, the concept is solid and the potential advantages for the individual and civilization are well worth the effort of experimentation. These types of machines have several pluses. They work on principles inherent in gaseous and liquid fluids. They do not require additional energy input of any conventional kind, yet will output net power. It doesn't matter if the wind blows; water flows; or sun shines. There is no combustion of any kind. There is no pollution; no waste products; no radioactivity, or any kind of harmful emissions. The machines could be locked in a room and the only thing that would come out is continuous power. There have been many over-unity attempts using these effects in the past. My job, as a free-energy experimenter and inventor, has been to spot the reasons they fail. I do the same scrutinizing for my own inventions, so it is natural for me to apply my knowledge to other peoples work. In most cases, my experience spots the problems easily. For example: the CEACU wheel which doesn't take into account the energy needed to accelerate the fluid; various buoyancy patents listed in 50 Perpetual Motions book by Lindsay Publications which have quite a few easily spotted problems and some projects written up by Creative Groups who accumulate collages of ideas and literature from others and try to get still others to build them.

In the idea outlined in this report, I can see no reason, at this time, why it won't work. So the next step is to build and test it, to find out why it won't work. Or....maybe it will.....

BUOYANCY MACHINE
This buoyancy principle was brought to my attention by Donald Bendix, through my friend Jeane Manning. I designed the machine depicted here, different than Mr. Bendix's patents. I think this one is more practical, and certainly more efficient, for reasons that Donald and I have discussed. The buoyancy machine, once built, will be self-starting upon submersion in a body of water and will provide torque, until the air leaks past the piston seals (may take weeks or months). A simple air recharge with a hand pump will start the machine again. This will continue til some mechanical component of the conveyor breaks from wear, fatigue or corrosion. Of all the mechanical free energy machines I am working with, this type is the simplest (see also Gravity Report) and has the most consistent power output while in operation. It requires a body of liquid (water is most convenient) to insert it into, and gravity to pull the pistons down. The body of liquid could be a water tower or a hole in the ground filled with water, for those people who don't have a convenient lake or ocean. The rotary motion is slow (needs gearing up) and the machine needs to be large to put out any real horsepower, but the simplicity, consistency and power output of the machine make it a real contender in the alternative energy market.

Thus we must cut the machine's actual power in half; or 17.5 ft/lbs. Eagle-Research experiments show that the actual weights do not equal out on both sides of the machine. The machine needs an almost continuous torque of the weight of one piston, (because of how they slide (at one place in the cycle) without providing torque to the cylinder). Therefore, we loose another 8 ft/lbs of torque, leaving us with 9.5 ft/lbs. The actual power output will be a factor of the speed of the conveyor. Assuming one foot per second, (about the rate of a normal bubble rise in water) the maximum power will be (1 hp = 550 ft/lbs/sec) 9.5/550 = .017 hp. This is about 12 watts before any efficiency losses of gearing and power generation. Actually, we expect a maximum speed of about 0.25 foot per second. With the assumptions and machine as described above, you can reasonably expect to light a 1 watt light bulb. Not absolutely excited by these results? Remember, this is a day and night, 365 days a year, pretty well anywhere in the world humans live, device!

Conclusion

The good news: the fact that this device can do what it does, is exactly the kind of paradigmshifting process that the scientists need to believe in the technology. The even better news: YOU could be the one who builds the worlds first viable buoyancy machine!

The machine can be sized-up with a longer conveyor and larger cylinders. Generally speaking, the machine becomes more efficient the larger it is, because friction losses are reduced. Be aware though, sizing-up will present some engineering challenges. The weight of large lead pistons would cause a lot of friction as they tried to slide til they got vertical. The lateral
