The organization pioneered its operations in 1989 to produce ERW Black Steel Pipes, Galvanised Steel Pipes & PVC Pipe / Tube Scaffolding Tubes PVC Pipe Fittings, Malleable Iron Pipe Fittings and Hollow Sections. Since then, the company has held a commanding position in the construction industry and has not only tapped the premium segment of domestic market but has also earned name in the international markets where the company's products are exported. Water is the basic need of human being and all other living things for their survival on earth. As per history, human being explored and utilized different sources of water such as ponds, lakes, rivers, streams and surface wells. However, safe water for consumption has been a constant question throughout history. To solve this problem, mankind has identified reliable source of deep well for drawing safe and potable drinking water for consumption. As per extensive research carried out, it was found that water level in Asia and Africa is continuously going down and in most of the African countries and in some Asian countries, rural dwellers in remote areas, wander for many hours for searching water in ponds/lakes and with no better option, they consume un-safe water having bacteria/insects, which causes water borne disease. With God blessings, a solution in the form of deep well hand pump was worked out for rural population which has no access to piped water supply which is mainly available in developed cities. However, most of the hand pump suppliers have taken this job as a profit making business. Such suppliers procure inferior quality parts from small vendors and just assemble in their small units and then dump those products into the market with their name. At the same time, just to save few dollars, some profit oriented customers prefer to buy such low cost inferior pumps. All this results into early breakdown of pumps in the fields and then selling spares at high cost. Research has shown that millions of hand pumps are lying in broken condition and useless in Africa due to low quality and want of expensive spares. In view of all above problems being faced by communities, VISHAL PIPES LIMITED took decision to serve the communities by manufacturing high quality hand pumps and spares in their own plant, exactly in accordance with national and international standards as well as Unicef drawings. All piping raw material required for manufacturing pumps and components, are already manufactured by Vishal Pipes Limited in its own factory, and hence, need not to procure from other suppliers. Accordingly, VISHAL PIPES LIMITED started manufacturing and supplying hand pumps under its registered brand name VPL INDIA. TREADLE PUMP FOR IRRIGATION

This kind of Treadle Irrigation Pump is suitable for irrigation upto the area of about 2 acres. In this system, water is lifted from nearby pond, lake canal etc. through suction and is pumped through hoses over long distances. In addition to irrigation, it can be used to fill the water tanks kept on roof. The pump can draw water from 7 metre depth and push it to 7 metre high or 180 metre on ground. The pump is treadle driven, 100% manual. The pump is maintenance free and can be used at different places, i.e. easy movement. The installation is very easy and straight forward. The replaceable piston rubber cups are supplied and can easily be fitted by any user. The major advantages of this pump are : low cost , efficient foot powered manual operation, easily maintained, ability to generate significant additional income for small holders, flexibility in installation and further movement from one location to another location, etc.

Construction Pump cylinders The treadle pumps has two cylinders each with a cylinder bore of 121mm each; cylinder height is 160mm and is made of rolled steel sheet Pump Manifold The pump manifolds is constructed from a 2.5mm (junction box) steel sheet fabricated into a box form Non-return The pumps has two pairs of non-return valves, Valves one on the inlet side of the pump and another on the outlet. The valve type is flapper type, made of 66mm X 2.8mm thick circular rubber. Piston The piston assembly constitutes the piston rod Assembly made of 25mm x 6mm and 5.5mm thick rubber seals (cups) Treadles The treadles are made of box section steel materials of 800mm length, cranked shaped with the hinge position at the end Rocking Bar or The pump has a rocking steel bar made of 20mm Pulley Wheel x 5mm flat steel bars Frame The frame ensures that the pump is portable and supports all other components of the pump. It is made of 50mm x 25mm- box section steel material.
