In addition to mix, the line includes pigment, sealers, wax, molds and training. A full range of colors is available as well as custom color. Generic bag mixes can vary in composition by as much as 10% from bag to bag. Typically 4 to 7 days. Typical pour and vibrate will require 2 part mold set-up. Product is typically workable for several hours in moderate climates. A toll free number staffed by BRs knowledgeable personnel. Hands on training, books and DVDs. For Buddys signature veined look, use right out of the bag. For cast in place, and trowelled finishes, add 15 lbs of 3/8 pea gravel. For wet-casting, add 3/8 pea gravel, or other aggregate, and a water reducer. One 70lb bag yields approximately 1/2 cubic foot or 4.5 square feet of counter at 1.5 thick. 9000 psi with 3/8 pea gravel.

BR Acrylic Additive is a liquid acrylic polymer emulsion designed as an admixture for cement based products. It improves the bonding of the Buddy Rhodes Paste and makes it extremely hard. Buddy Rhodes Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete Products

Glass Fiber Reinforcing is an advanced alternative to expanded wire mesh and other concrete reinforcing materials.

The main benefit is increased strength and crack resistance for larger and lighter pieces at lesser thicknesses. The glass fibers have an Alkali Resistant coating (AR) making them tougher and more complementary within the concrete/polymer matrix. GFRC is especially suited for use with Buddy Rhodes Concrete because the mix is clay-like and the fibers can be segregated away from the surface where they otherwise would interfere with the final aesthetic. The Buddy Rhodes GFRC system utilizes 4 unique products that can be used separately or together and can be combined with our existing mix and colors. Buddy Rhodes GFRC products can also be used with many other concrete mixes to good effect.

Acrylic Curing Compound ( F o r t o n V F - 7 7 4 ) Forton VF-774 is a GFRC specific, all acrylic, co-polymer dispersion (51% solids). It works as a curing agent for cement and adds polymer strength and durability to the final concrete matrix.

SuperPlasticizer/Water R e d u c e r A polycarboxylate-based wetting agent that makes concrete workable with less water. Less water and improved water dispersion make for greater final strength.

Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber S c r i m A flat woven mat that makes for an additional method to incorporate glass fiber reinforcement into a concrete project. It is easy to cut and easy to shape into three dimensional molds. Can be sandwiched in layers. No sharp edges. No rust.

Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber 12 mm Chopped Glass Strands. The fibers become integral within the concrete and add flexural and tensile strength. Exactly what concrete needs to resist cracking and allow larger pieces.

Crafting concrete countertops and decorative concrete furnishings is an artful skill which can be acquired by motivated learners. However, it does require technical expertise just as fine woodworking and ceramics do. Yo u a l l a r e f r i e n d l y a n d genuinely interested in sharing your knowledge. I really like your collective enthusiasm. Beginners will achieve important basic skills with introductory training, aided by the Rhodes products. More advanced artisans will quickly learn to create very high-end and distinctive finished products. We have found that a direct, hands-on workshop gives experienced crafts people the skills they need to produce excellent results.
