St. Ambrose A kiss is a mark of love He truly kisses Christs feet who, in reading the Gospel, recognizes the acts of the Lord Jesus and admires them with holy affection. With a reverent kiss, he caresses the footprints of the Lord as he walks. We kiss Christ, therefore, in the kiss of Communion: Let him who reads understand. (Mt 24: 15)

Please sign up for hospitality for the upcoming Sundays; the list is in the parish hall. Thank you to the Baker family for providing hospitality for us last Sunday. St. Philips pledge. Some weeks ago you received a letter in your home, regarding our financial situation, with a request to respond with your pledge for the year 2013. Your pledges are to provide a picture of our financial situation for the rest of this year, so we can see and plan for raising whats needed for the parish to continue.

So far, we have received 7 responses. Please respond as soon as possible. You can find extra pledge cards on the table at the entrance to the church. Theosis a new monthly publication by Eastern Christian Publications, see attached flyer, also a copy of the booklet in the parish hall. Divine Liturgy in Alameda. On Palm Sunday, there will be Divine Liturgy at St. Philip Neri Church in Alameda (3101 Van Buren St., near Encinal and High St.), at 3:30 PM. Bishops Appeal 2013 report. So far, we have received 12 pledge cards in the office, and donations of $1,260, (we are $2,340 short of our goal). Thank you for responding with your pledges, although we still need to hear from some of you. If you need a pledge card, there are some on the table at the entrance to the church. The Appeal ends on May 31st. Thank you for supporting Bishops Appeal 2013, may God bless you for your generosity. Prayer requests. For Confession, please come half an hour earlier to scheduled services, or schedule an appointment. Wednesdays and Fridays during Great Fast are days of abstinence for meat foods. All those who receive Holy Eucharist are to observe this fasting discipline.
