The Kingdom and the Church, The Kingdom and Israel Romans 14:17
The Kingdom and the Church: When the disciples were taught to pray, Thy kingdom come it is with reference to the coming kingdom of Christ. The King was present. Christ was being presented to the Jews as King, but they rejected Him. This prayer is not for the church, for it will have its fulfillment in the millennium. We are not to pray for the upbuilding of Gods Kingdom, for we are not building or bringing in the Kingdom, we are seeing added to the Body of Christ, the Church, as many as will be saved. Presently, the Kingdom is within the hearts of every believer. It is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17) The Kingdom is spiritual during this dispensation. It will be revealed physically at the return of Christ. The earth and heavens are distinguished in the Kingdom of Heaven. Included in the Kingdom of God is the entire world of Gods creation. The kingdom may be characterized as both moral and spiritual until the return of Christ when they will be identical. (Revelation 11:15, 12:10, John 3:5) The Kingdom and Israel: Within the Kingdom of Heaven there are three groups: Jews, Gentiles, and the Church.

Missionary Quotes
"God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply" Hudson Taylor "Christ wants not nibblers of the possible, but grabbers of the impossible." C.T. Studd "We talk of the Second Coming; half the world has never heard of the first." Oswald J. Smith "Our God of Grace often gives us a second chance, but there is no second chance to harvest a ripe crop." Kurt von Schleicher "I have but one passion: It is He, it is He alone. The world is the field and the field is the world; and henceforth that country shall be my home where I can be most used in winning souls for Christ." Count Nicolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf "No reserves. No retreats. No regrets" William Borden 4

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: (I Corinthians 10:32) The Kingdom of God includes only those who have been regenerated. The true church of the living God is to be understood as distinct from organized religion. In church history, organized religion is known as Christendom. All the religions and cults of our day are to be included in this Christendom. They are the tares, bad fish, and evil birds in the parables of Matthew thirteen. These may be identified as the children of the wicked one, the devil. False doctrine (leaven) permeates the Kingdom of Heaven, therefore it produces such offspring. In presenting Christ as King to the Jews, the Lord sent out His disciples to the lost sheep of the house of Israel to preach the gospel of the Kingdom. Their message, if received, brought the blessing of God upon the town and home where they preached. If the gospel of the Kingdom was rejected, judgment was pronounced upon the town or home. (John 1:11) The Jews declared, we will not have this man to reign over us. (Luke 19:14) After their rejection, the Lord turned to the Gentiles to call out a people for His names sake. He told the Pharisees that He was taking the Kingdome from them and giving it unto a nation bringing forth fruits. (Matthew 21:28-46) This nation is the Gentiles who believe. Peter called them an holy nation. This is a reference to the present day church age. (I Peter 2:9,10) The Lord promised the kingdom to Christ, the seed of David, who are a remnant of Israel whom He will save in the tribulation

to enter the millennium. And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. (II Samuel 7:12-16) When He returns and sets up His Kingdom, He will ascend the throne of David in Jerusalem to rule for a thousand years. (Luke 1:31-33) John revealed that this will come to pass at the end of the tribulation period of Gods judgment upon Israel and the Gentile nations. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The Kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 11:15) The church shall rule and reign with Him in the millennium also as promised. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (Revelation 3:21) And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. (Revelation 5:10).

Jonah and His Preparation as Gods Messenger Part II Jonah 2

By: Dr. Doug Howard General Director of TBMI In the last article we looked at: The Message s RebellionHe Goes Down From Gods Will, Chapter one. In this article we will look at The Messengers RepentanceHe Goes Up by Gods Way, Chapter two. In verses 1-6, Jonahs Disobedience Brought Retribution in the form of His Agonizing Distress (vs. 1, 2a), His Actual Death (vs. 2b), and His Allowed Desire (vs. 3-6) to realize his wish, which resulted in him reaping the horrible wages of helplessness and hopelessness. Then in verses 7-9, Jonahs Despair Brought Remembrance, in which he Remembered the Lord and Prayed (vs. 7), Remembered the Lost and Preached (vs. 8), and he Remembered the Load and Paid (vs. 9). Now, Jonahs Discipline Brought Repentance, which is set forth by three affirmatives in verse four by the word yet, verse six by the word yet, and verse nine by the word but, which is a root from the word yet. In verses 1-4 we see his affirmative concerning His Recognition, in verses 56 his affirmative concerning His Resurrection, then in verses 7-9 his affirmative concerning His Repentance. In verse ten Jonahs Response Brought Restoration, which is set forth in the Deliverance by Gods Omnipotent Power (vs. 10a) and for Gods Original Purpose (vs. 10b) With that in mind, are we tempted to do what Jonah did? Disbelieving Gods Commandments and Disobeying Gods Commission. If so, we need to follow the pathway Jonah took: in retracing our steps, repenting of our sin, and renewing our submission. In verses 8-9 we need to listen to Jonahs voice, follow Jonahs vow, and confirm it by our verification to Gods Commission.

MISSIONARY CORNER Kimi McBryar Missionary to Tucson, Arizona Tohono Ooham Indians
The Tohono Oodham Reservation is completely sovereign with its own law enforcement, hospital, jail, and school. The reservation is not a place that anyone would go for a tourist event. There are no attractions or gift shops; just desert. The landscape and scenery would give off a picture of a desolate and forgotten place, but I know that God has not forgotten about the Tohono Oodham Indians because He is still sending missionaries out to reach them. He is patient and longsuffering with them just as He is patient and longsuffering with any other culture and nationality, tenderly drawing them to Himself. Three Points is located about an hour away from the reservation and there is no sound church other than Faith Baptist Mission in the community. On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings we have church services in Three Points. Our church is small in members, but the ones who come have been faithful. On Sunday mornings I get to teach childrens church. Also in three points, I teach Christian School at our church Tuesday through Friday in the mornings. Faith Baptist Academy was started 32 years ago in the Stringers living room with their own four kids plus one little boy off of the reservation. The school gradually grew over the years and went from grades K5 through 12. The school used the ACE curriculum and children were bussed in off of the reservation everyday. A couple of years ago the school dwindled down to a couple of high school students who were then educated at home. This year the Lord has given us the honor of being to restart the school with one little K5 boy in August. In January we got another little boy who is in the fourth grade. It looks like next year there may be two girls attending; one who will be in second grade and one who will be in K5. My prayer is that one day we will have the means to go beyond just our community and once again bus in kids off of the reservation. On Sunday evenings we go out to the reservation. There is a dear lady named Marie who opens her house to us every week to be able to minister to the Indians. Marie is 71 years old and is in a wheel chair.Maries heart is really big and she has a desire to help reach the other Indians with the Gospel. Sunday evenings started out in her home at the elderly apartments where we were able to go around and pick up the other elderly and bring them together for a church service. A year ago the tribe decided that they were going to renovate the apartments so they took the elderly and split them up around the reservation. Marie was then moved into a three bedroom house were

she lived by herself in a neighborhood full of families and children. God used the renovation to open up a door for us to bring in more people for Sells church. On Monday nights we go back to Maries house for Bible Club. A lot of the children who come to Bible Club come from Catholic homes and this is the only time that they hear the Gospel. Some of these children come back on Sunday evenings for our Sells church service. Most of the Bible Club children have at least one parent in jail and some of them have both parents in the jail on the reservation. We get the joy of telling them about a Heavenly Father who is always there for them and loves them so much that He sent His Son to die for them. On Tuesday evenings we go into the Tohono Oodham Correctional Facility. Brother Stringer and Missionary Lyndon Hooper go into the groups of men in the jail and hold Bible studies with them. As the men who accepted Christ while in jail get released, they have started coming to our church on Sunday evenings and then even coming to hear more about the Bible during our Bible Club on Monday. Mrs. Joyce Jones and I go to the same jail into a group of women and hold a similar Bible study. The ladies that we work with are all so sweet it is hard to imagine why they would be in jail. The ladies do Bible lessons throughout the week and memorize Scripture. We have seen great spiritual growth among the ladies that we work with. Every year at Christmas time we take Christmas gifts out to the reservation for children of the inmates. This year we were able to deliver over 500 gifts along with the Gospel. For many of the children this may have been the only Christmas gift that they had received and we were able to tell them about Jesus: the greatest gift given not only to the entire world, but to them individually. Please pray for our church and the work that we do both on and off of the reservation. Please pray for the various ministries in Sells: Bible Club, Sells church, and the jail ministry. Please pray for the church in Three Points and the school. Please pray that the school will grow and that the door will open to be able to bring children in off of the reservation.
