The Juvenile Restorative Justice Project

To whom it may concern,

It is our pleasure to send you the proposal for Stephen Robbins to join The Juvenile
Restorative Justice Project that has started in 2005, and has sponsored more than 320
teenagers, from 12 to 17 years old, in the districts of El Agustino (Lima) and José
Leonardo Ortiz (Chiclayo), using this alternative Justice model, looking for
reintegration and support from the society, organizations, families and the victim,
instead of the regular Justice Model.

Encuentros and Tierra de Hombres created The Juvenile Restorative Justice Project in
January 2005, after two years of research of the Peruvian Justice Model. The research
let them know more about the ‘Justice Operators’ (Polices, Prosecutors, Lawyers and
Judges) and the ‘Social Operators’ (Psychologists, Social Workers) interested in find
other solutions for Juvenile Delinquency.

The Project have been developed in two different places for the following reasons: a) El
Agustino (Lima) and José Leonardo Ortiz (Chiclayo) are districts with more than 100
thousand neighbours, b) Problems with Juvenile Delinquency, c) These districts has
decentralized offices of the Court and d) Their communities are always involved.

Stephen, will work in the office of José Leonardo Ortiz in Chiclayo, under the
supervision of the staff of Encuentros.

Please read the information below carefully and do not hesitate to express any concern
or questions you may have. You can send me an email to:
