Homogeneous Experience
Software-as-a-service is the poster child of the as a
service category. Users will know this as browser-based
email clients like Hotmail and Gmail, or collaborative,
cloud-based offce software like Google Docs.
This is how your users expect your services to work -
everything stored in one place, the same experience and
information no matter what the device you access it from.
Integration
Make sure your services can work together. There is no
point having software that doesnt integrate, as you will
spend your whole time resolving users issues when they
cant access the data they need.
A well-constructed cloud environment should allow users
to get on and do what they need to do.
Everything as a Service?
The modern workplace will give users access to the
information they need, wherever they are, whatever
device they are using.
See No Changes, Hear
No Changes
Most people just want to get on with the task in hand,
rather than worrying about choosing the right software or
maintaining it.
A centralized system means upgrades happen centrally,
for all users simultaneously. No trouble with conficting
versions, no need for effort on the part of the user, no
chance for them to create problems for you.
Cloud Communication
Many of your users will already be using social networks,
so be prepared to facilitate this.
With social media use being a part of corporate messag-
ing and customer relationships, and with some people
having their own personal audiences, you cant afford to
not give your users access.

ENTERPRISE:

USERS
EXPECT?
WHAT DO Users know how to work effciently and the exact systems
and information they need to achieve this.
Access to cheap or free cloud services has increased the
expectations of users, who expect to be able walk straight
into your organization and get hold of the data and services
that they need. Soon, you will need to provide everything as
a service.
What will users expect from your service?
