AMOUNT: FAFSA FORM: ELIGIBILITY: Varies Yes 1) Be a Bertrand resident with either a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) OR 2) Be a Bertrand native with either a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) OR 3) Be a graduate of Bertrand High School OR 4) Be a graduating senior at Bertrand High School. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a minimum two-year program. First priority will be given to those pursuing a career in a health field or mortuary science. If no applicants are entering these fields, the field of interest will not be a factor. Financial need shall be the prime requisite. Two awards will be made each year.

DODEE & TOM D. MORRIS MEMORIAL ART SCHOLARSHIP

AMOUNT: FAFSA FORM: ELIGIBILITY: Varies Yes 1) 2) Be a Phelps County high school graduate OR have been a Phelps County resident at the time of high school graduation; Be either currently enrolled as a post-secondary student or have completed at least one year of college, technical or vocational school; 3) Have earned a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in high school if attending the first year of post-secondary education. If not in the first year, the applicant must have earned a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale while in college; 4) Be pursuing a two-year or four-year degree or certification in ART; 5) Be enrolled for at least nine credit hours; Financial need will be considered, but is not the prime requisite.

Previous recipients of this scholarship may reapply provided they maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. An applicant may only receive the award up to four (4) years. Any student who has an immediate family member presently serving on the PCCF Board of Directors or employed by the PCCF is ineligible for this scholarship. Number of recipients and amount varies from year to year depending upon the fund's annual earnings.

SKALLBERG FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

AMOUNT: FAFSA FORM: ELIGIBILITY: $1,000.00 No 1) Be a graduate of any Phelps County High School; 2) Planning to enroll full-time or be a current full-time student at any technical or trade school; 3) Have a GPA of 2.0 or greater; Consistent involvement and leadership in extracurricular activities, church activities, and community service, and/or have demonstrated commitment and responsibility through work experience.

WALTER J. & ELSIE E. STARK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

AMOUNT: FAFSA FORM: ELIGIBILITY: Varies No 1) A graduating senior or graduate of Loomis School District #55 OR have received his/her G.E.D. and be a resident/former resident of the Loomis School District #55; 2) Planning to enroll full-time during the fall semester of the academic year in an accredited, tax-exempt school or institution of higher learning in the state of Nebraska, leading to either a two-year or four-year degree or certificate, or an advanced degree or certificate in any field of study. Extracurricular activities, work experience and educational achievements will be considered.

THEODORE C. & MINNIE C. SWANSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

AMOUNT: FAFSA FORM: ELIGIBILITY: $1,200.00 No APPLICANT MUST MEET ONE OF THESE THREE CONDITIONS: 1) A graduate of any Phelps County high school enrolled at an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America seminary OR 2) A graduate of Bertrand High School who has completed at least two years of undergraduate studies leading to a degree in a medical field displaying financial need OR 3) A graduate of Bertrand High School pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in the field of agriculture displaying financial need. Priority for selection is in the order listed above. If recipient is in seminary or a medical field, payment is made during the first semester. If recipient is in the agricultural field, payment is made during the second semester. Any student whose parent presently serves on the PCCF Board of Directors or is employed by the PCCF is ineligible for this scholarship. Financial Need will be considered.
