This company has visited our campus (cochin university of science and technology) on 19 jan 2013. First thing that is to be noted about this company is that ,it is not a mass recruiter. They will select very few students. they recruits student from mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation & chemical. This is a core sector company. it has a lot of projects all around the globe. This company is mainly in oil and gas industry. This is not in the manufacturing sector.

Recruitment process Initially there was ppt. the ppt was very much interactive. They are very happy with the questions being asked by the candidates. Recruiters always expect a interactive session. After the ppt there is written test.

Eligibility Criteria

: B Tech Minimum 60% No Standing supplementary

Mode of Test

: Written Test/ Interview (Written Test 90 Minutes Duration) Engineering Awareness 40 Minutes Numerical Skill 20 Minutes English Writing Skill 15 Minutes

General Awareness 15 Minutes CTC Service Agreement : 3.6 lakhs : 3 Years after one year training.

In engineering awareness section they are asking questions from the whole syllabus of respective discipline. Numerical skill section consists of questions which are time consuming or we can say time killer. There is no sectional cutoff and negative marking . so I will suggest not to tackle numerical questions in the beginning. General awareness questions are so simple. In English writing skill , I have write about myself. (brief introduction, strength, weakness, probable solution for weaknesses, aim of life etc.) In our campus they have put the notice like

after the PPT, among the students who are interested in appearing for the written test, only 10 or 15 students (will be decided by the company) from each branch will be considered. B. Tech. marks will be considered for screening the students, if number of students are more than the cut off number.
On the basis of written test out of 10 students from mechanical 3 students are selected for interview. From electrical out of ten , 3 candidates, from civil 4 and from instrumentation 3 are selected for interview. Finally after interview one each from mechanical, electrical and civil are declared as selected candidates. In interview they have asked just basics of engineering . I am from mechanical so on the basis of my memory, I am mentioning here some questions of mechanical What does your father do? Have you done any training ? Ans- no sir , I have not get any chance to do so. Have you ever gone for industrial visit of any oil and gas / energy industry ? Ans- no sir. Have you done any project and seminar? Yes sir. Afterwards I have dealt my project and seminars. They have asked questions in depth from project and seminar. Do you know about welding ?

Yes sir. I have given the details of different kinds of welding processes. They have asked me to sketch the different kinds of welding. Regularly I have tried to correlate it with material science becoz material science is my strong portion . finally they switch on to the material science. What is heat treatment process? How many types of heat treatment process are there ? What is case hardening ? What are the methods by which we can test the weldings? What is destructive and non destructive testing ? What is material handling equipments? A lot of more questions are there I have answered almost all the questions properly. Never hesitate to say the truth when you are not knowing the answers. They are experts, so be always honest to them and to yourself. Finally the result of interview is announced. And I have got recruited in the triune energy services private limited.
