PROJECT DISCRIPTION Here we are introducing an instantaneous fault alert system which alerts the control station, automatically when any fault occurs in the line or on occurrence of any transformer faults. A fault is detected when the system parameters (current or voltage) violates the permissible limits. In our project we are using an ARM7 micro controller (LPC2132) for the detecting the fault and a GPRS (GENERAL PACKET RADIO SERVICE) module for alerting the control station about the fault.
