Academic projects: Mini Project title: Visual Cryptography On Images With Front end as Java using Windows XP Operating system Description: The scope of the project lies with in developing a new cryptographic scheme where the cipher text is decoded by the human visual system. Hence, there is no need to any complex cryptographic computation for decryption. The idea is to hide a secret message in different images called shares or cover images. When the shares are stacked together in order to align the sub pixels, the secret message can be recovered the simplest case is the 2 out of 2 scheme where the secret message is hidden in 2 share both needed for a successful decryption. The main aim of the project was to impart high security to images. Main Project title: Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Hidden Markov Model With Front end as Visual Studio.NET 2005 and the back end as SQL Server 2005 Description: In this project we deal with An HMM is initially trained with normal behavior of a cardholder. If an incoming credit card transaction is not accepted by the trained HMM with sufficiently high probability, it is considered to be fraudulent. At the same time, we try to ensure that genuine transactions are not rejected. ROLE: TEAM LEADER
