AUTOMATIC POWDER FILLING MACHINE

Auomatic Powder Filling Machine Auger filling machines for powder products are designed for processing high-grade, delicate pharmaceuticals. They are available for single or dual position dosing and, depending on the customer requirements and the machine equipment, they can either be used as semi-automatic machines for laboratories or integrated into a fully automatic machine. All the machine functions are controlled by a programmable logic control (PLC) on the basis of optimum quality at maximum output. The machine is easy to operate from a central panel. Twenty parameter sets can be configured and called up for different container sizes, filling quantities and products. Fault messages and material shortages are indicated on the display in plain text and with a fault code number. All the major parts are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, glass and highgrade plastics, which facilitate thorough cleaning and care.

Auger dosing for powder products The product is fed from the supply hopper to the dosing container by a single feed scroll or by twin scrolls controlled by the product level in the dosing container. The selected product amount is dispensed into the container by the vertical auger 4 . The agitators 5 and 6 ensure that the product is fed evenly to the feed scrolls and the auger. The feed screw, the auger and the product agitators are driven by separate motors, ensuring independent start times and rotational speeds. The machine can therefore be adjusted to run smoothly with different powder types. If a vibratory feed 7 is substituted for the feed scroll residual product is reduced to a minimum and the product is transported extremely gently. Product feed comprises only two parts, ensuring simple installation, cleaning and sterilizing.

Fully automatic operation - The container(s) is/are placed under the filling nozzle(s) - Dosing volumetrically by a predetermined number of auger revolutions, optionally with subsequent check-weighing and documentation of the results or - gravimetrically by filling the container until the scales stop the revolution of the auger when the required net weight has been reached - The containers are removed

Size change / cleaning the machine All parts coming into contact with the product are manufactured from mirrorfinished stainless steel, and can be dismantled without the use of tools. The machines can be reassembled following cleaning or sterilization, without touching any of the product contact part
