Parables of Jesus
Taking something difficult to teach, such as honesty, reverence, or love, and beginning with a common experience of
the student, you talk about things he or she already knows. Then when the student makes a transfer or comparison
with what you want him to know, he will perceive the meaning.

Biblical Mystery: Romans 16:25-26

Not impossible to understand. It is a truth not revealed until now. “Biblical mystery is a divine purpose, hidden in the
counsels of God for long ages but finally disclosed in a new revelation of God’s redemptive work.” – George Ladd

Kingdom of God:
Wherever the dynamic rule and reign of God is established. It exists in the present and will be fulfilled in the future.

Old Testament Understanding of God’s Kingdom: Daniel 2:44

A single great event, a mighty manifestation of God’s power, which would sweep away the wicked kingdoms of man
and would fill all the earth with God’s righteousness. His rule would bring every earthly power into submission and
he alone would reign as King.
