United Methodist Open Door - Community Food Ministry

Mosley, Wichita, KS / 316-267-4201 Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 11:45 am & 1 pm - 3:45 pm Emergency food assistance for persons and families in need who live in Sedgwick and neighboring counties (including Butler County). Assistance provided only one time per month (but at any time during the month). Families qualify at 130% of Federal poverty level ($2422/month gross income for family of 4) [see chart on its website]. Special circumstances can be considered. Process: Apply in person. Bring your drivers license or photo ID, proof of address (a recent utility bill with your name and address on it), and proof of income. If eligible, you will be given a food box at that time. Diapers and baby formula also are available. Directions: Located a couple of blocks west of I-135. If driving, exit at 13th Street, then go west on 13th a few blocks where Mosley crosses 13th Street.

Community Aid Network (C.A.N.)


@The Salvation Army in El Dorado, KS 207 W. First / 316-321-4070 (ext.1) Coordinates assistance from community churches for those in need in the El Dorado area. Many churches ask people seeking assistance to start by going to C.A.N. for screening Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - noon & 1:30 - to 2:30 pm (walk-ins welcome). Assistance provided once every 6 months; going to more than 2 churches a week for food is not allowed (instead, come back to C.A.N. for further assistance).
