Junipas All-Day Caf and Bistro, open seven days a week, is a winner. While most other spots have an area where kids are left to play when their parents eat, Junipas encourages quality family time during meals. Little people can design their own pizzas, which are then baked in Junipas fire oven. Alternatively, children can ice and decorate their own cupcakes. Instead of a kids menu, theyve simply downsized it to suit the appetites of smaller patrons. Portions are charged at 60% of the full price and are presented in a way thats attractive to kids. For breakfast, try the red-velvet pancakes served with crme frache and strawberries. Lunch options include fish served with shoestring fries or salad, and a homemade lamb-burger patty. Make sure you save space for a giant chocolate-chip cookie, baked on the premises.

DURBAN
