Before I start my research about Mesothelioma, let me blog first about this summer getaway that I have discovered. Because of the scorching heat of the sun, everybody wants to go the beach so you can expect that resorts are really crowded especially if you will go on weekends. So if you want a private place that you can just have all for you and your family, and then you should probably try this beach house for rent in Punta Fuego that my good friend discovered and had shared with us.

For only P11,800, you can rent the whole house for 6 persons. The house can accomodate a maximum of 12 pax and you only have to pay P500 for each exrta person in excess of 6. You can use the billiard table, the swimming pool and gives you free access to the beach. This rate even comes with free breakfast and two staff to assist you during your stay. 100 kilometers, or about 2 hours south of Manila, it will give you a chance to experience Philippine beaches without the need to board an aircraft to other islands. Experience both the pleasure of looking at the well known Taal Volcano,by passing through Tagaytay City and the scenic drive to the beach coves of Nasugbu,Batangas. Is there a pool ? What to expect A gated community along the coastal coves of Nasugbu, there are at least four coves where you can swim,and walk along. There is 24 hours security for the community and a local friendly caretaker for the house should you need any assistance during your stay. The second floor loft style has wide 3 day beds, a double size double deck bed, with air-con, A TV monitor with DVD player. On the ground floor there are wide 2 day beds in the living room,masters bedroom. The kitchen is equipped for your use, refrigerator, stove top, microwave,water dispenser, utensils, plates, etc. There is a BBQ grill outside and there is coal available.There are 2 T&B in the house with hot water shower, 1 outdoor shower, a separate wing with bedroom and T&B for your driver, or nanny.There is

a professionally trained massage therapist available upon request. Lobsters are available depending on weather conditions.The house is about 500 meters from the beach, it is about a minute by car,slow pace. What you can do You can play explore the different coves, jump over the cliff, play beach volleyball at the main beach the court and net is always available(you have to bring your own volleyball). Don't forget to bring your snorkel and masks as there are nice marine aquatic fish swimming with you at the beach, if you feel lucky, do try to find the blue starfish around but please don't hurt them and return them. Reminders Please limit smoking outside the house, and throw cigarette butts in the bins, avoid throwing it on the garden. Turn off air-con when not in use, or when nobody will stay in the loft or bedroom. Limit your stereo music to adequate level as a respect for other neighbors. Only cars,and passenger vans are allowed entry in the community,no coasters or bus it is strictly enforced. Bringing of food (picnic set up)and bottled alcoholic beverage (hard liquor) is not allowed in the beach. There is no Bathroom in the beach,to avoid contaminants reaching the water,we don't want to swim in polluted waters. Bring your food and drinks before arriving at the place as there are only limited sari-sari stores where you have to drive to reach them,and there are no meatshops or grocery nearby, it is about 7 to 9 mins. drive near Punta Fuego.(The caretaker can purchase some minimal items for you )

this was our rented house in punta fuego peninsula. it only costed us P8,000.00 for an overnight stay. if you thought this is a bungalow, well i'll let you in on a secret, it's a 3-storey house with 3 bedrooms that can sleep around 15 persons comfortably.

now, upon entering the house. everyone's attention will be attracted to this terrace like a magnet.

this is your view from the terrace. this magnificent view is inclusive of the P8,000 rent already. in other places you might be charged for having such a view but not here in punta fuego. the view, as that visa card commercial goes, is just "priceless".

the caretaker let us in on a secret, the house in your foreground is the resthouse of Sen. Ralph & Vilma Recto. by the way, Punta Fuego is part of Batangas so it's no wonder that the couple would have a resthouse here in their province.

Subic Sweet Water Beach Resort

Don't let the name fool you though. It might be called a resort, but it's really not (well, technically it really is but...). I'd say, it's more of a havenactually. I home away from home, away from all the hustle and bustle and stress that the over-commercialized Subic Bay freeport area represents. It's fine and nearly white sand, it's breath-taking vistas, cool and surprisingly not so salty water (my personal estimation compared to some beaches I've been to, probably where it got its name), and gracious staff make the trip out of town well worth it.

I'm told that the resort was and pretty much is a private rest-house. Due to it's under-utilization, the owners have decided to share their bounty with the world at large, and what bounty they have! The sand, the surf, and that sunset... they haven't got a website yet, but they do have a friendster account. For reservations, best to call 09178507292. When you get to the resort, do take the time to get to know the staff. :) They'll be your best friends from there. ======
ETC... Directions:

1.

Get your butts to Subic. Either you take the more scenic route, via San Fernando and along the National Highway (you'll pass through San Fernando, Bacolor, Guaga, Lubao and Dinalupihan), or via the SCTEX (which by the time of this writing, has yet to open) which pretty much gets you to Subic quicker.

2.

From Subic, follow the signs pointing to Ocean Adventure. This road will take you past the airport, FedEx,

and lead you towards the Morong Gate. The drive towards the Morong Gate will see you passing a fire station to your right.

3.

Exit Morong gate and drive straight through, following signs for Anvaya Cove. You will encounter a fork in

the road, with the main road going up the mountain, and the road to Subic Sweet Water (and other small resorts) will be going down to your right. The Tarp they have at this juncture is torn so keep your eyes peeled. You'll pass a small church to your right, and come upon a gate with the Subic Sweet Water resort tarp. Enter the gate, drive straight through. There you are! :) Sidenotes and Factoids: The cast and crew of Kamandag shot an episode at Subic Sweet Water. Roxanne Guinoo's white-castle commercial was also shot here. I heard that some Marimar episodes were also done at this beach. :P

At certain points in the year, Marine turtles come to lay their eggs on the beach. If you do find a nest, please leave it alone! :)

LAIYA, BATANGAS
Moonlight Beach Resort We are on a tight budget as much as most people wouldn't want their trip to be too expensive. We were referred to this typical beach resort in Laiya, San Juan called the Moonlight Beach Resort. Expect peak season rate during the holidays. Theirs are transient house where you can do some cooking and stuff good for big groups.

They allow it up to 20pax, but they don't have any other extra mattress, so I suggest you may just bring extra mattress or banig to accomodate everyone when its time to sleep or, since it's not an everyday out of town trip, you might want to stay up swimming all night long! Hehehe :)
