Law Journal
CONCEPT PAPER

I.

University of Mindanao Law Journal. What is it?

Fully aware of the dynamism that has hitherto marked the law and the legal system and of the ever-changing social, economic and political forces wherein the law finds application, the University of Mindanao College of Law deems it a matter of extreme necessity to further strengthen its grasp in the fast-paced changing of time so as not to fall behind. It ratiocinated therefore that one of the best ways of achieving this is to produce its own LAW JOURNAL.

The University of Mindanao Law Journal is intended to be a product of a collective desire to inform, update, teach, refresh, review and enlighten law practitioners, law students and even those whose respective office and job call for the knowledge and application of law. Further, it is aimed to serve as a means of inviting and persuading others to participate in dealing with present legal issues by sharing their thoughts and perspectives through a simple yet invaluable contribution in the form of a written article.

The product will be an offshoot of a community of contributions from a variety of areas of concern. A lot of sources will be tapped vis--vis the substance of the material. To be specific, the alumni, faculty members, practicing lawyers, including law students, whose respective fields carry with them a stamp of authority and

whose interests hover around this particular field, will be called upon to make contributions to this seemingly intimidating yet achievable task.

This Law Journal will undoubtedly be the very first that the University of Mindanao College of Law will ever produce which would surely, in most humble certainty, bring pride and respect to its department and on all those comprising it. Not only that. This undertaking will be setting a clear path for those who desire to carry on and continue this particular work. Simply put, this will mark as a momentous advent of subsequent issuances of new volumes and issues for many years to come.
