University of Mindanao College of Legal Education

Law Journal
CONCEPT PAPER I. University of Mindanao Law Journal. What is it? In an attempt to comply with what is being mandated, as it seems, from every College of Law existing throughout the country, we find it a matter of great importance to produce a scholarly journal. The intent behind this sudden thrust goes beyond mere acquiescence. Not only is it being undertaken for the sake of obedience to what has been required but also to provide lawyers and students of law, mostly comprising the expected audience, different perspectives/panoramas with regard to the developments and changes in the world of Law. The product will be an upshot of a community of contributions from a variety of areas of concern. A plethora of sources will be tapped vis--vis the substance of the material. To be specific, the alumni, faculty members, practicing lawyers, including law students, whose respective fields carry with them a stamp of authority and whose interests hover around this particular field, will be called upon to make contributions to this seemingly intimidating yet achievable task. This undoubtedly marks, if successfully executed, the birth of the first law journal. II. Features and Essentials of the Journal (Not necessarily in the order presented): Commentaries on recent decisions of the Supreme Court Comments on new legislations and administrative issuances Comments and analyses of proposed national legislations
