Introduction
The Government of tamilnadu faces unique challenges of urbanization taking place in the state to provide adequate infrastructure facilities to support the rapid urban growth as well as enhance the economic potential of the various urban centres in the state of tamilnadu.Demand for infrastructure has been increasing over the years as a result of overall economic growth,higher level of education and general improvement in the standard of living.Realising the importance of urban infrastructure in the country resource mobilization plays a vital role as a prime engine of economic activities and generators of national wealth.

Considering the existing physical and social infrastructure facilities and visualizing the good potential for future growth and immediate implementation of financial reforms. Tamilnadu has always been on the forefront of this Information technology boom and with the active participation from the State Government IT is the happening. Sector in Tamil Nadu now. The State Government has planned and installed computers in all its departments to speed up the processes involved as well to have tight integration of all its activities. In this connection the Corporations and Municipalities will play a very crucial role in the activities of the Government.
