First Days of Schools for the General Music Classroom

During the first day of school my main goal will be familiarizing the class with the room, the expectations, each other, and myself. First Day of School Agenda:

b. Objective and Purpose i. Singing and Procedure purpose: We are going to be learning a lot of things in music this year! First we are going to learn about the room and the rules of music class and then we are going to practice our singing and learn each others name with the Name Rap song. ii. Composer: Every month, we are going to spend 10 minutes learning about a different composer so that you can recognize who wrote the music you hear in the world. We are also going to spend some time going through the rules and procedures for the room. iii. Music Inventory: I have a short worksheet for you to fill out so that I can learn more about you and what you like about music. c. Input and Modeling i. Composer input Stefanie Germonatta is an American composer and performer. As a performer she is known as Lady Gaga. Ms. Germonatta grew up in New York with an Italian family. She is a classically trained pianist and singer who studied at Julliard Conservatory. ii. Name Rap modeling Model good singing tone, Teach the song by rote iii.
