MSc International Hospitality Management With so much choice available for both business and recreational activities, successful hospitality providers need to offer a distinctive product. It follows that good hospitality managers have, as well as business acumen, a sense of creativity and innovation as distinctive products can command higher prices in the marketplace. While customer focus and quality of service are critical aspects of the industry, the increasing use of information and communication technology (for example online booking and the evolution of mobile phone apps) places increasing pressure on managers to be constantly aware of technological changes and adapt their market approach accordingly.
MSc Programme* The MSc International Hospitality Management course is designed to enable students to develop concepts and theories relating to the strategic development of business in this growing field while linking creative thinking with the use of new media and technology. MSc International Tourism Management Furthermore, while customer focus and quality of service are critical aspects of the industry, the increasing use of information and communication technology has seen an increased proportion of tourism products bought over the internet. To succeed in global business, tourism organisations and their managers must adapt their operational approach accordingly. Therefore, this course also attempts to address current needs in a changing marketplace.
MSc Programme* Semester 1 } } } } Strategic Innovative Marketing Management Strategic Financial Management Managing Human Capital Contextualising International Tourism Management
The tourism industry accounts for 10 percent of jobs worldwide. Its products are very similar to those offered by other industries such as Hospitality, but there are aspects of tourism management unique to its purpose. Developing a distinctive tourism product helps differentiate it from the global competition; exclusive products can command higher prices in the market place. For this reason, this course promotes creativity and innovation in tourism management techniques.

MSc Management Consultancy This programme offers an opportunity to study the conceptual and practical demands of consultancy and, through reflection, how it can be employed to enhance individual and organisational capability. Based strongly on an interdisciplinary approach, the programme combines the development of the practical skills of consultancy with the employment of critical reflective practice, with the aim of stimulating the enhancement of the individuals personal and intellectual development. This programme equips practising and aspirant consultants with the essential professional practitioners skills and thinking tools to enable them to manage the client interface process and identify and analyse social, ethical and environmental issues to formulate integral solutions to conventional and complex management problems.
Today business leaders face a myriad of critical decision making challenges which require them to address the complexities of both the strategic and operational issues of business life. Increasing global competition and deregulation of markets has dramatically increased the pace of change as has the need to accommodate rapid technological innovations. As a result decision making has become more complex for both the public and private sectors alike. The consequences of this constant environmental evolution are that business leaders and those supporting their business decisions, must be capable of effectively responding to constant dynamic change and therefore must possess the essential decision making capabilities to enable them to foresee, respond and anticipate their customers needs. Management Consultancy, as a distinctive area of business activity, has grown in scope and scale during the last decade. Increasingly businesses, public-sector organisations and not-for-profit organisations turn to consultants for advice on a wide range and number of issues they need to confront. Yet despite this growth there are few academic programmes which seek to prepare individuals for this important activity.
