TO: Richard and Teresa VanLandingham Maxi-Grant Applicants FROM: Grady County Public Education Endowment Fund SUBJECT: Grant Application Information and Guidelines The Grady County Public Education Endowment Fund is pleased to announce the 20102011 Maxi-Grant Program for the Grady County Schools. All schools are encouraged to apply. Each selected grant will be awarded up to $5,000. This year, financial support for the maxi-grant program is provided by the generous donations of area businesses.

The submitted maxi-grant proposals should demonstrate innovative teaching techniques or learning approaches targeting goal(s) or objective(s) of the schools curriculum. Proposals should describe well defined and developed projects benefiting an established group of students. Applicants are encouraged to utilize additional resources, (i.e., in-kind contributions and volunteer time). Grant monies will not be awarded for the following unless the item is an integral part of an innovative project : Construction/school beautification projects. Food purchases unless the food is specifically for use in an instructional setting. Salaries, stipends and honorariums for Grady County teachers. Workshop or conference fees. Non-school specific assets (i.e., 35mm cameras, camcorders, computers, televisions, etc.) Student rewards, acknowledgments, etc. The deadline for submission is 4:00 P.M., on April 2, 2010. Applications should be delivered to Tommy Pharis, Grady County Board of Education. Applications must be typed or computer duplicated: eleven (11) copies must be submitted.
