Ms.J.M.: Yes. JOANNE MAKELY in Jewett, New York. My son-in-law Enforcement
took off from Newark Airport this morning. He just called. He's Privacy
on the plane and it's been hijacked and they're going to crash it
into another building. My daughter's talking to him now.
He says terrorists haVe taken the plane....

j Hold on a second.

Ms. J.M.: He's on his way to California. Took off from Newark about 7:30.

| \s calling you. How's he calling you?

Ms. J.M.: He's in the airplane with a cell phone.

j J Hold on the phone with me one moment.

Ms. J.M.: I'm...

I got a woman calling 911 from Jewett saying that her son-in-law
is on another plane that's been hijacked and is talking to them at
the house on the phone.

\s on the plane now?

Ms. JJM: Yes, he's on the plane now and if s been hijacked with a man with a gun
whose going to do something horrible.

The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States
(the "Commission") requests that the New York State Police Department
MwOefaad (the "respondent") provide the Commission with copies of the following
FredF.Keldine documents no later than September 19,2003 (the "production date"):

by the New York State Police on September 11,2001, and which

relate to reports of hijacked airplanes (including, for example, a 911

2001, by me mother of apassenger on United Airlines Flight 93).
The Commission requests that me documents requested above be

documents may not be provided at the same time, through means of a
"rolling" production.
If any requested documents are withheld from production, even
temporarily, based on an alleged claim of privilege or for any other
reason, the Commission requests that the respondent, as soon as possible
and in no event later man the production date, identify and describe each
such document or class of documents, as well as the alleged basis for not
producing it, with sufficient specificity to allow a meaningful challenge
to any such withholding.
If the respondent does riot have possession, custody or control of any
requested documents but has information about where such documents
may be located, the Commission requests that the respondent provide
such information as soon as possible and in no event later than the
production date.

If me respondent has any questions or concerns about the interpretation


or scope of these document requests, the Commission requests that any
such questions or concerns be raised as soon as possible so that any such
issues can be addressed and resolved prior to the production date.
