Quick Guide To Using SVR - 440

PRIOR TO USING THE PRODUCT
This is a quick guide covering some of the more frequently used features only. For more accurate and detailed information about the product, please refer to the Users Manual.

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. Live Monitoring
AUTO The live screens are automatically switched in the order of (CH1 CH2 CH3 CH4 ) at the predefined switching interval. Search button MULTI or Single Screen Press the ENT button, then the four connected channels are displayed on the quad split screens. Press a channel button to see the respective channel only on the screen. Select Time or Event
1. Press the Search button 2. Select either the Time search or the EVENT SEARCH 3. Enter Date/Time or select an event from the TIME LINE BAR 4. Press a desired search date and time of GO TO TIME LINE BAR

3. Search/Playback Recordings

Date with blue color indicate that it contains recorded data. Select date, channel and event type and press PLAY button to playback.

5. Preliminary Checks before Starting Operation

Before Power up, be sure to check NTSC or PAL and select the right monitor out put between Composite and VGA by using the switch on the rear panel of the unit.

EVENT SEARCH
Press ENT button to move the cursor to Minute search bar. Select a desired search time on the Minute search bar and press ENT button to playback.

4. Playback Buttons

Users can enter a desired search date and time and press PLAY button to playback.

2. Recording
Press the REC button to start or stop recording. REC lamp located on the top of the REC button will display recording status. REW : Backward Playback. Speed at 1X, 2X, 4X GO TO F/REW : Jump Backward. Playback position moves 1 minute backward PLAY/PAUSE : Press to Play and pause the Playback screen F/ADV : Jump Forward. Playback position moves 1 minute forward *Caution : FAST : Forward Playback. Speed at 1X, 2X, 4X

Quick Guide To Using SVR - 440

RECORDING FUNCTION
SAMSUNG SVR-440 provides several different recording methods. You can easily select and set any recording method that is most suitable for your environment or needs.

1. RECORD SETUP
SAMSUNG DVR can be set to use : repeat record or Set the resolution to either 720X480 or 360X240

3. SENSOR SETUP
Inputs detected and transferred from external sensors are identified as events. Select the switch type of a sensor connected to each channel.

Step 1 : Set Record Setup

4. Copy(back-up)
Back-up the contents of HDD to USB memory stick for backup. Both of Still image and Video can be backup. Maximum backup time of Video is up to 999 seconds.

Step 2 : Set the details of recording setup

MODE : Select one of four recording methods
CONTINUOUS SCHEDULE MOTION DETECT SENSOR DISABLE Continuous recording mode for 24h for day Reserved recording Recording is activated when the system detects the motion from input video images. Recording is activated when the system detects the sensor operation. This is a setup mode for not to be recorded

Step 1 : Set Still image Backup

1. While monitoring, Press Select YES to store the image into HDD 2. Press and select desired date press

2. EVENT SETUP
SAMSUNG DVR can detect any motion on its screen and initiate recording automatically.
