Global crude oil price of Indian Basket declines to US$ 104.04/bbl on 05.04.

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell to US$ 104.04/barrel (bbl) on 05.04.2013 . This was lower than the price of US$ 105.06/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 04.04.2013. In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 5709.72/bbl on 05.04.2013 as compared to Rs 5741.53/bbl on 04.04.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms though rupee depreciation moderated a part of the gains. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on 05.04.2013 at Rs 54.88/US$ against Rs 54.65/US$ on previous trading day of 4.04.2013.
