Ages 2-12 years May 1-31 In ANTicipation of summer, why not read? Children ages 2-12 are invited to participate in this reading promotion during the month of May at the Covington location. Beginning May 1, children can pick up a reading log. After reading 5 books, they can return their completed log to the library to receive a prize and be entered into the reading raffle. The raffle drawing will take place in early June.

Family Breakfast Bake Off*
Friday, May 3, 7-8 p.m. Does your family have a great breakfast recipe? Make and bring your favorite breakfast casserole to the Library for a Taste Off! Enter as a family or individually. Winners will be selected by popular vote. Recipes should be submitted to Brenda.Clark@ kentonlibrary.org by 9 p.m. on May 1, 2013. Bring your dish to the Library by 6:30 p.m. on the day of the program for judging from 7 to 8 p.m.

Family Fun Festival

Saturday, May 11, 11-1 p.m. Games and treats galore! Join us for a whip cream pie eating contest, the bearded librarian and the Florence Community Band musicians. Just bring your ticket to the show. The ticket is a donation of school supplies and nothing more!

May 19-25 Purchase nearly-new and used books at the Friends of the Library Book Sale! Prices range from $0.25 to $4, and all proceeds benefit programs at your Kenton County Public Library. The sale is open during regular library hours, but ends 30 minutes prior to closing time.

Racing to Read 5k Run & Walk, Saturday, June 8

Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. Join us for the 10th annual Racing to Read 5k Walk and Run presented by the Kenton County Public Library Foundation, voted the 2012 Best Charitable Race in Northern Kentucky by NKY Magazine.

The race takes place Saturday, June 8 at 9 a.m. in Covington. Pre-registration fee is $20; race day fee $25 and includes a t-shirt while supplies last. First Watch will provide a pancake breakfast after the race for participants and their families. To register go to www.kentonlibrary. org/race.
