Attached to this project brief are grading charts for each unit explaining the criteria against which your submitted work will be assessed; these will be discussed in detail with your tutor at the commencement of this project. GRADING: The unit will be graded as pass, merit or distinction. Incomplete work or work of an insufficient standard will be referred back to you for re-submission until it meets the minimum standard to achieve the minimum pass.

PHOTOGRAPHIC MEDIA TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGY LOGBOOK Rationale A successful photographer is well aware of a range of photographic media, techniques and technologies and is constantly making creative and technical decisions regarding them to achieve the desired result. They also try to keep up to date with changing technology. It is your responsibility to produce a logbook that evidences all the photographic materials, techniques and technologies you have used during the course detailing your knowledge, experiments and understanding. This logbook is designed for you to be able to evidence all the PHOTOGRAPHIC MEDIA, TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGIES you have used and experimented with during the course so far. All evidence and written work should be supported with visual examples (your own work as well as researched images). You are encouraged to improve in some areas with further investigation and photographs that you are currently working on. How to Evidence You may reprint any information/photographs from other projects. You may photocopy work from other projects if you have lost the files. In addition you will be expected to produce new work. Please explain why the particular material, technique or technology behaves the way it does. LEARNING OUTCOMES 1, 2 and 3 Produce evidence that you have used and investigated photographic media, techniques and technology and know about their different characteristics when being used for different purposes.
