Children who don't read at their age-level are four times more likely to
drop out of school than those who do. For children in poverty, they are
six times more likely. Central Utah Clinic recently donated $10,000 to the
United Way Everyday Learners Program as the start of a year-long
project to help children read better. But this donation is just the start,
everyone at the Clinic can help make this an monumental improvement
for the communities.
The Clinic will host a book drive to support our local communities, from
Ogden to St. George. The books will go right back into the local schools
and homes of children in desperate need of education. We are trying to
raise 10,000 books to match the $10,000 monetary contribution. This
goal requires the aid of every employee and patient at the Clinic to
make it happen.
As you start your spring-cleaning,
make sure to save all your books to
donate, so we can help improve
literacy throughout the state together.

Stay tuned for more information in
our next newsletter.
EveryDay Learners Bookshelves
are coming to our Family Medicine
waiting rooms. Keep on the look out.
