All in - the cost of delivery includes all charges. For example, terms CY-CY means that the rate includes the base freight rate, loading charges and all others as BAF, CAF e.t.c. ATD AWB - actual time of arrival actual time of departure - Air Waybill.

B/L- bill of lading Bill of lading is a Contract of shipment. According to B/L ocean line shall accept the cargo for shipment and send the goods to consignee to the port of destination. The Consignor is responsible for right instruction for fulfillment of BL. BAF- bunker adjustment factor BAF is additional charge for base ocean freight rate. It depends on the cost of fuel on the world market. B/G (bonded goods) - the goods that placed in bonded warehouse for further customs clearance. BONDED WAREHOUSE - warehouse under customs control. The cost for storage does not include tax. BOOKING NOTE order for cargo delivery. It is used for booking of place and tare. Indicated information shall not be the base information for fulfillment of BL. After booking approved, the shipper is obliged to send his cargo by exact indicated time. BREAK BULK - cargo that can be delivered without container

C
CAF - currency adjustment factor. This is additional charge for the base ocean freight rate. It depends on changing of currency rate. CBM- cubic meter CIF cost, insurance and freight.

This is one of the terms of shipment according to Incoterms 2000. Exactly the same as CFR except that the seller must in addition procure and pay for insurance for the buyer. CFR - Cost and Freight (Incoterms 2000) Seller must pay the costs and freight to bring the goods to the port of destination. However, risk is transferred to the buyer once the goods are loaded on the ship (this rule is new since 2010!). Maritime transport only and Insurance for the goods is NOT included. Insurance is at the Cost of the Buyer. CFS- container freight station COC - container of carrier. The freight rate includes the cost for using of container. CNEE- consignee CU .FT. - cubic foot (feet) CUT OFF TIME Control time for deliver container to the CFS and making all necessary formalities. CY- ( container yard) - the place for storage of containers. Also it has another meaning. The terms of shipment CY-CY mean that forwarder undertakes obligations to deliver container from CY to CY (the cost includes freight, loading to and from the vessel, diversion of container on CY)

DAP (Delivered At Place) According to Incoterms 2010 the Seller pays for carriage to the named place, except for costs related to import clearance, and assumes all risks prior to the point that the goods are ready for unloading by the buyer. DAP is used instead of DAF, DES and DDU. DAT (Delivered At Terminal) According to Incoterms 2010 the Seller pays for carriage to the terminal, except for costs related to import clearance, and assumes all risks up to the point that the goods are unloaded at the terminal. It is used instead of DEQ. DC- dry container Dry container is used for general cargoes only. DDP- delivery duty paid. This term means that the seller delivers the goods to the buyer to the named place of destination in the contract of sale. Also he is obliged to make custom clearance in the place f destination. (Incoterms 2000) DDU- Delivered Duty Unpaid (destination place) This term means that the seller delivers the goods to the buyer to the named place of destination in the contract of sale. The goods are not cleared for import or unloaded from any form of transport at the place of destination. The buyer is responsible for the costs and risks for the unloading, duty and any subsequent delivery beyond the place of destination. However, if the buyer wishes the seller to bear cost and risks associated with the import clearance, duty, unloading and subsequent delivery beyond the place of destination, then this all needs to be explicitly agreed upon in the contract of sale.(Incoterms 2000) DEMURRAGE- the costs for overtime using of container from the time of disembarkation to the time of trucking container from port. DES Delivered ship

Where goods are delivered ex ship, the passing of risk does not occur until the ship has arrived at the named port of destination and the goods made available for unloading to the buyer. The seller pays the same freight and insurance costs as he would under a CIF arrangement. Unlike CFR and CIF terms, the seller has agreed to bear not just cost, but also Risk and Title up to the arrival of the vessel at the named port. Costs for unloading the goods and any duties, taxes, etc are for the Buyer. DEQ Delivered quay (duty paid)

This is similar to DES, but the passing of risk does not occur until the goods have been unloaded at the port of destination. DOOR to Door - term of shipment. The forwarder is obliged to deliver the cargo from the door of shipper to the door of consignee. DROP-OFF CHARGE The charge is applied if the place for container return differs from the place indicated in BL.

EDI electronic data interchange ETA- estimated date of arrival ETD estimated date of departure EXW - works (Incoterms 2010,2000). EXW means that a seller has the goods ready for collection at his premises (Works, factory, warehouse, plant) on the date agreed upon. The seller has no obligation to load the goods. If the seller does load the good, he does so at buyer's risk and cost. The buyer must pay all transport charges, loading charges, customs formalities for export and import. F S - Free alongside ship (Incoterms 2000) The seller must place the goods alongside the ship at the named port. The seller must clear the goods for export. Suitable only for maritime transport but not for multimodal sea transport in containers (see Incoterms 2010). FCA - Free carrier (Incoterms 2000,2010) The seller hands over the goods, cleared for export, into the custody of the first carrier (named by the buyer) at the named place. This term is suitable for all modes of transport, including carriage by air, rail, road, and containerized / multi-modal sea transport. FCL - full container load FOB - free on brd (Incoterms 2000,2010) The seller must themself load the goods on board the ship nominated by the buyer, cost and risk being divided at ship's rail. The seller must clear the goods for export. Maritime transport only but NOT for multimodal sea transport in containers (see Incoterms 2010). The buyer must instruct the seller the details of the vessel and port where the goods are to be loaded, and there is no reference to, or provision for, the use of a carrier or forwarder. It does not include Air transport. FEEDER - The vessel (ocean line) that sails to the ports situated far from main transport hubs. FEU equivalent of 40ST container FI ( free in) ocean freight does not include loading charges in port of loading. FIO (Free in and out) - the ocean rate does not include charges for loading/unloading. FO ( free out) - the ocean rate does not include charges for unloading in the port of destination. FOR - free on rail The railway tariff does not include charges for loading/unloading to and from wagon. FOT free on track This is the condition of shipment. Loading charges are only included. Other transport charges should be paid by buyer. FR (flat rack) - Platform Container with back walls. It is used for delivery of heavy over-sized cargoes (such as machines, heavy equipment) FREIGHT COLLECT Freight should be paid by consignee

GP (General purpose) - The type of container that is used only for general cargoes. GENERAL CARGO The type of cargo that can be packed into the cartons, bags and it can be numbered. GRI- general rate increases Additional charges for base ocean rate. It depends on tariff politics of Carrier. Usually it is used during some seasons.

HC- high cube The type of container, the height of that is higher on 1 foot if compare with standard container.

LCL - less than container load LI (line in) - The base ocean rate includes the following charges: undertake container from the transport (rail, truck), dimension on CY, loading on the vessel. LO (line out) - the base ocean rate includes the following charges: unloading from the vessel, dimension on CY, and loading to another transport (rail, truck).

M
MOTHER VESSEL - Line vessel with big capacity. It is used for shipments between the main transport hubs. MT- metric ton-1000kg

NVOCC- Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier The carrier which has some cargo places on the vessel. He has right to make on-board bill of lading.

OGC- over gauge cargo OT- open top This is the type of container with open top.

P
POD- port of destination POL- port of loading PSI ( Port Security Charge) additional charges for security. PSS (Peak Season Surcharge) additional charges for the base ocean rate. It is used during summer and autumn and depends on increasing of shipments.

R
RAMP - special equipment for moving container from one type of transport to another. Another meaning is the condition of shipment. Means that the forwarder undertakes obligations to arrange shipment from /to the nearest ramp of shipper/consignee. The cost of shipment includes: deliver to and from ramp, freight rate, THC, loading charges. REPO - returning of empty container after unloading to the nearest stock. RF- refrigerated container. It is used for cargoes that needed special temperature during the shipment. RO/RO- roll-on/roll-off This is the type of vessel with horizontal system of loading.

SER (Carrier Security Charge) - Charges for security of cargo during the shipment. SHIPPER the person who provides cargo for shipment and instructions for BL. SHIPPING REQUEST- instructions for Bill of Lading. SOC- container of shipper STUFFING - Loading of container.

T
TEU - equivalent of 20 ST container THC (terminal handling charges) the port services: loading/unloading to/from the vessel, dimension of container etc. Nowadays the shipper pays OTHC in POL and consignee DTHC in POD. TRANSHIPMENT- changing of ocean line in transport hub.

U
UN CODE is used to specify the material according to the classification of dangerous cargo made by UN.

W
WAY BILL- the contract of shipment. This document proves that carrier accepts the cargo for shipment and he is obliged to give it to consignee in POD WNS Winter Surcharge Additional charge for ice channeling. It is applied during the winter season.
