2013 GRADUATE PROGRAM ROLE DESCRIPTIONS

JOB TITLE: AUDI PRODUCT PLANNING & OPERATIONS ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
This role will provide support to two teams within the Audi of America organization: Product Planning and Operations. Through four different rotations, the Graduate Analyst will be exposed to Product Strategy & Technology Planning; Product Launch; Vehicle Sales; and Operations. As part of the Product Planning team the analyst will gain an understanding of Audi customer requirements and expectations in the competitive environment as a basis for developing actionable and timely strategic recommendations for new vehicles, variants and features. With the Audi of America Operations team, the role will be introduced to the daily operations of the organizations (new vehicle sales, planning, distribution, etc.). Direct responsibilities for this role will include a balance of ongoing tasks and self-directed projects, varying from rotation to rotation. Examples of the work assigned to this position: Build knowledge base of all functional areas within Product Planning & Operations, including an understanding of different Audi of America business systems and processes Develop new analytical tool to help maximize Audi vehicle variant complexity (sales turn, volume, etc.) Create and maintain CO2 compliance calculator to ensure model year 2017 and beyond are meeting EPA Greenhouse Gas regulations Research new variants for portfolio inclusion (customer, competitive, etc.) Help implement new portfolio decision matrix Support in the strategic planning and cross functional operational integration for A3 sedan launch Help develop new launch database tool to better track organizational launch milestones and readiness Analyze, report and understand key operational performance metrics at the national, region, area, and dealer levels Ensure direct contact with all departments within Vehicle Sales, including Retail Incentives, Corporate Sales, and VIP Sales Support and understand all aspects of Audi of America short term sales planning and product allocation methodology Assist in reporting and presentation generation for Audi Executive Management and Regional update meetings Help the Distribution Manager with Logistics and Port Operations related tasks and reports

JOB TITLE: LOCATION:

AUDI REGION OPERATIONS ANALYST, SOUTHERN REGION & WESTERN REGION (2 POSITIONS) ALPHARETTA, GA & WOODLAND HILLS, CA

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Both of these roles will provide support to the Audi Operations team, one in the Western Region and one in the Southern Region, with a focus on region and field operations. In these roles, the Analyst will gain knowledge of the automotive business from a field operations perspective through exposure to a variety of field functional areas: Sales Operations, Marketing, Distribution, Dealer Network Improvement and Development, and Customer Satisfaction. Throughout each rotation the role will be expected to provide thorough analysis and reporting, as well as effective communication of the analysis. The role will also have regular communication and interaction with the field teams. In addition to the rotational areas, the roles responsibilities will span a wide range from performing work to support the region, such as region or dealer meeting planning, budget tracking, and regional calendar support to independent, creative, and self-directed projects.
Examples of the work assigned to this position: Build a base of Audi-specific products and business understanding Develop a solid understanding of new and certified pre-owned (CPO) sales and support in the collection, reporting and analysis of sales numbers and other sales performance metrics Assist colleagues in the field to comprehend dealership relationships at a fundamental level Provide incentive program research, development, communication and tracking assistance Gain an understanding of the Dealer Ad Groups (DAGs) through development of advertising plans, support of DAG meeting presentations, bi-monthly special offers development Support in the coordination and logistics of marketing events taking place in the region Assist in the communication and implementation of national marketing plans and dealer point of purchase materials Support the region to develop knowledge of the distribution process from ordering stage through dealer delivery through: sales analysis and reporting; special region order requests and vehicle tracking Assist with the execution of Audis national Dealer Network Development strategy and in the buy/sell and open point appointments process for dealerships in the region Conduct dealership site visits and business reviews with the Sales Manager and General Manager Gain a solid understanding of key customer satisfaction initiatives Support the ongoing training efforts for Creating Audi Fans Provide analysis of CSI/SSI performance and help in developing and communication loyalty metrics

JOB TITLE: AUDI MARKETING ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
This role will provide the opportunity to gain experience with the Audi of America Marketing team. The individual will be exposed to a variety of marketing disciplines that are leveraged within Audi, with a focus on Retail Digital Marketing, Advertising Media, and Social Media. The Retail Digital Marketing department is responsible for the optimization of Audi websites at the regional and dealer level with a strong focus on development and syndication of content, media optimization and metrics. Both the Advertising and Social Media disciplines of Audi Marketing are responsible for ensuring that both media efforts align with marketing strategies and the Audi Brand positioning. They provide creative media allocations and analysis of the effectiveness of buying decisions to maximize budget expenditures and marketing material alignment, through working cross-functionally. The Analyst in this role will have the chance to contribute to the efforts of these Audi of America Marketing teams to ensure successful marketing strategies and representation of the Audi Brand. JOB TITLE: AUDI & VOLKSWAGEN DEALER DEVELOPMENT ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
This role will have the unique opportunity to experience two of our automotive Brands, as well as, two very distinct sides of the automotive industry. The first two rotations will occur in the Dealer Network Development departments for the Audi and Volkswagen Brands. Here the role will be exposed to four focus areas of Dealer Network Development: Facility Program, Network Performance Analysis, Market Studies, and Franchise Support. The third rotation will occur in the area of Industry and Government Relations where the role will be able to bring their knowledge of dealer networks to work on franchise policy issues. The role will also provide content development support for the Dealer Legislative Action Center website. JOB TITLE: VOLKSWAGEN AFTER SALES ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
This role will be exposed to the entire Volkswagen Brand After Sales organization, through rotations in its various departments: Parts and Service Marketing, Parts Product Management, and Parts and Accessories Sales. The After Sales organization is responsible for developing the strategic direction for accessories sales in the U.S market; the creation, development, and implementation of After Sales Marketing strategies; and improving market share, parts sales penetration, and profitability that comes from the Parts business. This opportunity will allow the Analyst to assist the After Sales organization in meeting its aggressive revenue goals, as well as gain an understanding of how the After Sales departments provide company-wide program support. JOB TITLE: VOLKSWAGEN CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE DATA ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
This role provides the opportunity to join the dynamic Customer Experience Team, which includes the Volkswagens training department called Volkswagen Academy. Customer Experience is at the heart of our business, as such, the role will provide the Analyst with exposure to a great variety of departments and functions, as well as access to different levels within the organization, from corporate to retail. The role will be able to acquire a well-rounded view of the automotive industry, through involvement in projects ranging from dealership visits, to process analysis, competitive benchmarking, and new vehicle launches. JOB TITLE: VOLKSWAGEN SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
This role provides the opportunity to learn the full scope of the Volkswagen Brands Sales Operations organization. Through three different rotations, Dealer Relations, Sales Planning & Strategy, and Sales & Distribution, the Analyst will be exposed to the facets of the business that drive vehicle sales customer satisfaction and overall dealer and manufacturer profitability. The Dealer Relations and Communications department is responsible for the franchised dealer operations, which will allow for the Analyst to provide support in the following ways: to the Dealer Council, at the Regional and Dealer meetings, with factory to dealer communications, and from a reporting and data analysis aspect. As part of the Sales Planning and Strategy rotation the role will be exposed to all VW sales reports and play an integral part in streamlining the reporting process while ensuring vital data is still captured and communicated. The final rotation with Distribution will provide insight into the distribution process. In conjunction with Audi and VW Canada, the Analyst will be able to identify distribution best practices, at the region and dealer level, through process document within the department. Examples of the work assigned to this position: Assist in the planning, execution, recording and follow up for Dealer Council meetings Support dealer presentations given by various leadership Assist in conceiving, planning and executing National/Regional Dealer and Brand meetings. JOB TITLE: VW CREDIT, INC. ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA & AUBURN HILLS, MI (2 POSITIONS) ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
The role will gain knowledge and experience in key areas of the VW Credit, Inc. business, through a series of structured job rotations. Job rotations and duties will involve analytics, reporting, program design and administration, strategy development, business decisions, dealer and customer interface, and phone work. Specific departments in which the VCI Analyst will work include Risk, Marketing, Sales Operations, Remarketing and Auctions, Credit and Funding, Customer Care, Collections, Field Sales and Risk, as well as an experience on one of the companys vehicle brand teams. **Rotations will be in Herndon, VA, Auburn Hills, MI., and either at the Chicago or Portland area Automotive Finance Service Centers. This role will be exposed to the entire Service and Quality organization, through rotations in its various departments: Compliance/TREAD, Quality Monitoring, Warranty & Technical Field Operations, Volkswagen Quality Analysis, and Group Customer Quality. In some of the areas the role will provide statistical and analytical support include: forecasting consumer behavior, survey return data, auditing TREAD reports, analyzing warranty/customer relations/field report data for trend analysis, performing Weibull analysis, developing warranty forecasts, and conducting warranty return data analysis. In addition, the Analyst will develop reporting methods for product defects and analysis, and prepare top market issues and escalation reports. Examples of the work assigned to this position:

TITLE: TREASURY ANALYST LOCATION: HERNDON, VA ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS


This role will provide support to Treasury department where the Analyst will have the opportunity to rotate through: Cash Management, Treasury Markets and Risk. This position will be responsible for all USD cash positioning and payments for the US Companies (Volkswagen Group of America, Audi of America, Bentley Motors, Automobili Lamborghini America, VWGoA Chattanooga Operations and VW Credit, Inc.). In Treasury Markets the role will gain an understanding of structured financing and funding project management including research, negotiations, analysis and reporting. Examples of the work assigned to this position: Reconcile prior day cash activity Determine the daily treasury settlement position for the US companies using the SAP- Global Treasury Platform (GTP) Identify commercial paper requirements and excess investment opportunities Work with varied organizations (Accounting, Tax, Payroll, etc.) to ensure all cash inflows and outflows are identified Support requests of internal customers (e.g. National Sales Companies, VW Credit, Inc.) Deal directly with the banks in regards to payment inquiries, investigations, and open issues Initiate wire/ ACH payments utilizing bank software, with individual wire payments ranging into the hundreds of millions of dollars Execute commercial and financial payments through GTP Develop, negotiate, issue and administer Asset Backed Securities Program (ABS) Implement projects that will provide solutions for long term / short term funding requirements by successfully negotiating and executing structured financing activities on behalf of VW of America, VW Credit, Inc., and other affiliates Monitor financial market conditions (including capital, money and derivative market developments), and develop and manage reporting process to Treasurer and for VW senior management Manage and assist in the Asset Liability Management process as needed through the use of Maturity Transformation models and other risk based processes Manage and assist in the interest rate forecast and budgeting forecast and associated communication through VWAG, VWFSAG and VCI Treasury Perform ad-hoc tasks and special projects as identified
