William Wilberforce Dear Northampton County Republican Committeeman, In February of 2012 I was appointed by Robert Kerr and elected by the Executive Committee to serve as Treasurer of the Northampton County Republican Committee (NCRC). As Treasurer I take my position within the party, the responsibilities set forth by the By-Laws, and the trust extended to me very seriously. I can say without a shadow of doubt in my mind that I have fulfilled these responsibilities with dedication and have gone above and beyond the required duties. In the past few months I have seen some very ugly and eye opening actions taken by some members of the Executive Committee. I am certain that you too have received the multiple page communication which is nothing more or less than a despicable attempt at character assassination. These individuals have used Saul Alinsky style tactics in order to undermine the continuous successes which have come since Robert Kerr was elected Chairman. I have seen every tactic used from being disruptive at meetings to collecting proxies and voting for their candidates and even lying over and over again, even invited a Democratic Committeeman blogger and the local press to our meetings. BEWARE MY FELLOW REPUBLICANS of whom you support for there are saboteurs in our midst! We have been continuously successful and recognized for our excellence in spite of this. These Alinsky style tactics have culminated in an Executive Committee Meeting which took place on Saturday April 13, 2013. At that meeting there were a number of motions and votes which went against and/or amended and altered the By-Laws. These are the same By-Laws which YOU voted for in January 2012. YOUR VOTES HAVE BEEN DISENFRANCHISED! One of the motions made included a stipulation that I put my signature to a letter which was to be sent to all Republicans in Northampton County bashing one of the candidates for County Council. When I refused to have my name attached with a letter attacking a Republican candidate I was verbally attacked. People can take a lot of things from you, but the one thing they will never take without your permission is your honor. As such, please accept this letter as my resignation as Treasurer of the Northampton County Republican Committee effective immediately. While I will continue being a fellow Committeeman, I can no longer in good conscience continue being an officer of this organization. I wish the next Treasurer the best of luck! Warmest regards,
