PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT


To use contemporary, innovative methods to help seekers become believers and believers become fully
devoted followers of God. I am seeking a church or group who is not bound by the tradition of “we have never
done it that way before”, is not scared to take chances and is willing to do whatever it takes to reach people for
Christ.

PROFILE
Over 25 years experience acting and public speaking. Over 20 years experience in the church serving in positions
varying from Lay Youth Leader in a 100 member Bible Church to Couples Pastor at Fellowship of The Woodlands
(now Woodlands Church), one of largest and most innovative churches in the United States. Over 15 years Teaching,
Leading Small Groups/Mentoring, Developing and Implementing Communication Strategies, Developing Internal
and External Communication Materials, Marketing, Public/Media Relations and Leading Volunteers.

• Taught main service and led communion, baptism and baby dedication services various times during the
year. Did welcome, sermon intro, offering, announcements and closing or a combination of those elements
for most services.
• Part of the “Creative Team” that developed weekend sermon series and package consisting of music,
graphics, writing in house produced videos, creative illustrations and set design.
• Developed Special Christmas and Easter Services with Creative Arts Pastor, including recruiting and
developed teams of actors, singers, tech teams, greeters, etc.

• Created communications pieces such as brochures, annual reports, press releases, child sponsorship
kits, fact sheet, and web pages,on time and under budget.
• Managed organization’s printing, including interviewing printers, obtaining bids on print jobs, storage,
and inventory of printed materials.
• Led Radio Strategy Team. Team members included the Vice President of Marketing, one department
head, and three directors, all people who were above me on the organizational chart.
• Implemented changes in printing procedures, such as rewording printed materials to give them longer
shelf life and using printers that specialized in particular formats, to save organization money.
• Developed organizations Five Year Radio Plan and implemented radio campaigns, including two
successful promotions with the K-Love Radio Network resulting in largest sponsorship drive in thirty-year
history of the organization.
• Traveled to Kenya and Guatemala with radio personalities to inspect organizations work first hand.
The trips succeeded in turning radio personalities from one-time promoters into long-term supporters of the
ministry.

• Recruited and oversaw army of volunteers who helped at all station
concerts, sharathons fundraisers and special events.

the station.

EDUCATION

My goal in attending seminary was to better equip myself for a of full time ministry position in the church. The
majority of my seminary training outside of the Theology and Bible classes has been in Biblical Leadership and
examining effective church ministries with a focus on building and leading Small Groups, Discipleship, Education,
Equipping, and Assimilation Ministries. I have taken the bible track twice over, once at each school I have attended,
to get a better overview of scripture. I am only short Biblical Languages for my M.A. and M.Div, however, I have
complete classes in the use of such tools such as Logos, Bible Works. Lexicons, etc., to do language studies for my
messages.
