ENVE 101 : INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING Year II Semester II

Rationale: This course provides an overview of the state-of-the-art information on the discipline of environmental engineering and its scope. The students will develop a general knowledge and understanding of the quantification, estimation and other key concepts of pollution control, waste management, life cycle assessment and environmental assessment. They will also be equipped with the knowledge of incorporating environmental considerations in design of projects and products. Catalogue Description : Basics of environmental engineering, mass transfer, kinetics, life cycle assessment, environmental assessment, water supply, pollution control, cleaner production, wastewater treatment, solid waste management.
