The political system of ancient India is very interesting. When the civilization first started, there wasn't any sort of a government. Then the people started to settle in groups or tribes. The two main religions in ancient India were Hinduism and Buddhism. Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, meaning that they believe in more than one god. But Hinduism is different than other religions in India because it doesn't have one leader. Another main religion in Ancient India was Buddhism. If you believed in Buddhism you followed Gautama Buddha. Buddha believed in enlightenment through his eight-fold path. Those were the main religions of ancient India.

Confucianism was the main way of behaving in China for many dynasties. Confucianism, like Christianity, is not necessarily a religion, but more of a way of life. His ideas were about strict responsibility and moral character. Buddhism was another religion of China. Buddhism was about following Siddhartha Gautama, a prince who abandoned all his wealth to become a monk.

China is probably the most world-wide known civilization. They are known for their many achievements and inventions. For example they invented the compass, paper, and ice cream. They are also known for their powerful armies and leaders.
