1. Summary of value of information in enterprises module Information is data that has been processed to have a meaning. Information can be either analog (eg books, cassettes, ) or digital (eg Microsoft files, DVD, ). There Analog and digital recording devices. Analog devices record data in sequential manner (linearly) but Digital devices record data in a digital way using binary system. Analog information has originality and accuracy than digital data but digital data are easy to modify, to store, to transport or share, to access, to search and easy to mix than analog information. The use of Digital information increases each year as the technology goes on. Many people are using digital devices, these include pc, sensors, pda,Information sharing now is easy because of Community Web Platforms ( myspace, hi5,). Nowadays People are using computers from 5 to 8 years old which was not there for the past 10 years. Now we use data to make decision based on our knowledge.
