Translucent Duo has humble beginnings - 2 friends who wanted to make great music together, choosing the medium of contemporary classical music. The pair put in a lot of time and energy separately and together to create and develop what is their evolving, unique brand of musical and performance art. From this innocent collaboration, the duo has just returned from performances in Hong Kong, and has performed in Newcastle, Sydney and across Regional NSW. The pair are now gearing up for a new piece they have commissioned for Australian Composer Matthew Orlovich, which they will premiere at the Australian Clarinet and Saxophone Conference to be held in July this year. This piece will be part of their regional NSW tour, In Sync, commencing at the end of July. On this tour David and Bernard are looking to promote new Australian music through their highly engaging performance style and great energy that is becoming a firmly rooted part of this duo's interaction on stage and off.
