Product Sales Specialist for Xigris, a treatment for Severe Sepsis in patients at high risk of death. Skillfully marketed product to Intensivists, Hospitalists and Critical Care specialists in the ICU, CCU, CICU and SICUs of major community and teaching hospitals in the Arizona and El Paso markets, including St. Josephs Medical Center, Beaumont Army Medical Center, Phoenix VAMC, John C. Lincoln and Banner Health System. Key Accomplishments: Raised in-servicing rates from 12 to 24 hospitals through numerous hours of investigative work to identify the right decision makers. While many reps gave up, aggressively pursued experts behind the scenes, including pharmacy buyer, pharmacy doctors, infection control specialists and nurse case managers. Educated staffs, built credibility and gained access to hospitals closed to previous reps. Identified unmet medical need to improve the odds of a patients survival. Net worked with prominent ER physicians and convinced them that an EP Sepsis protocol should be established, allowing Xigris to be administered at the point of initial diagnosis instead of the traditional use in the ICU or CCU only.
