. Application The applicants should send their applications to the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of Jilin Normal University before December 31, 2009. . Eligibility 1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health and with no criminal records. 2. Applicants should have not been as students in China from July 1 to December 31, 2009. 3. Applicants for Master degree studies must have Bachelor degree and be between the age of 18 to 35. Level 6 on HSK or BA of Chinese Major. Applicants with no command of Chinese are required to take Chinese language courses for 1 year before their major studies under the scholarship. . Details of the Scholarship 1. Tuition fee: CNY 22000 yuan/year, free. 2. Accommodation: Double room, CNY 40 yuan/day, CNY 14600 yuan/year, free. Costs for telephone, monthly charge for telephone and Internet should be paid by the students themselves. 3. Basic books and tapes for the major studies, about CNY 1500 yuan, will be offered for free by the university. Cost of extracurricular experiments or internship should be afforded by the students themselves. 4. Living allowance: CNY 1700 yuan/month. 5. One-off settlement subsidy for each new student will be CNY1500 yuan. 6. Outpatient medical service will be paid 20% by the university. 7. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China is insured by the EMOC for the scholarship students in China against diseases and accidents. 8. Fee for a one-off inter-city travel (only for coming-in and leaving China) refers to the one-off hard-berth train ticket between the port of entry and Siping city. 9. International travel expenses shall be paid by the students themselves. . Application Materials 1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (can downloaded from:

http://www.csc.edu.cn/uploads/forms/6- .pdf), one original and one photocopy, in Chinese or English. 2. Highest diploma (notarized photocopy). If applicants are university students or already employed, they should provide documents of being university students or onpost employees. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English. 3. Two notarized copies of transcripts from the school where applicants got the highest diploma. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English. 4. A study plan in Chinese or English (no less than 500 words for postgraduates). 5. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors. 6. Photocopies of Foreigner Physical Examination Form and AID Testing Report (http://web.jlnu.edu.cn/wsc/english/english18.htm) filled in English, and the original copy should be kept by the students. The above materials should reach the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Jilin Normal University before December 31, 2009 . Approval, Notification and Enrollment Time Jilin Normal University will mail the invitation letters directly to the applicant before July 31, 2010, so that the student can apply the Students Visa to study in China.
