AMENDING THE AUTHORITIES AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES DPWH KEY OFFICIALS

AND OF

In the Interest of the service and in view of the new appointment of Engr. RAMON P. AQUINO as DPWH Assistant Secretary, the authorities and areas of responsibilities of DPWH Undersecretaries and Assistant Secretaries are hereby amended, as follows: Undersecretary M. BONOAN MANUEL - Shall have overall supervision and control of the operations of all DPWH Regional Offices and Project Management Offices (PMOs), except PMOs performing planning related functions and PMOs implementing special projects funded by other government agencies. - Shall serve as the Assistant Secretary for Operations for Area I (Regions I, II, III, IV-A, and CAR) and shall have overall supervision and control of the Bureau of Construction. - Shall serve as the Assistant Secretary for Operations for Area II (Regions IV-B, V, VI, VII and VIII) and shall have overall supervision and control of the Bureau of Maintenance. - Shall serve as the Assistant Secretary for Operations for Area III (Regions IX, X, XI, XII, XIII & NCR) and shall have overall supervision and control of the Bureau of Equipment.

The authorities and areas of responsibilities of the other incumbent DPWH officials delineated under Department Order No. 65, series of 2005, as amended, shall remain in force and effect. The Assistant Secretary for Operations concerned shall also have supervision and control over PMO projects under his area of jurisdiction and shall act as the Chairman of the Central Office Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) for Civil Works in his area of responsibility. This Order shall take effect immediately. Department Order No. 62, series of 2006, and all other orders, circulars, memoranda and issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby amended, modified and/or rescinded accordingly.
