Latino Undocumented Immigrants Have Rights Also! We want to speak out to the Latino community since a large percentage of our community is made up of Latinos.. We are aware that some people may be illegal immigrants and not be able to vote that's why its important for you to vote to help the undocumented immigrants and spread the word that undocumented immigrants have the same rights we do.

Two of the Latino immigrant communitys biggest challenges are unemployment and lack of health care. In The United States of America, undocumented immigrants are not allowed to work because they have no form of documentation. The population of undocumented immigrants living in United States is 12 million. Out of those 12 million immigrants that live in United States, 1.1 million undocumented immigrants don't have jobs according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Not having a job makes it extremely difficult for a undocumented immigrant to succeed and achieve the American Dream. 1 .http://cnsnews.com/news/article/bls-unemployment-higher-among-native-born-immigrants

Health care is a essential thing in life. It helps you by paying medical expenses that you cant afford. 33.2 percent of all undocumented immigrants do not have health insurance according to Center of Immigration Studies. Undocumented immigrants without health insurance are most likely to get sick and not be able to pay for treatment. There has been various attempts to pass

Aaron Perez Kathya Perez Alexis Jimenez Dan Osornio health care bills so that everyone in The United States can have some sort of insurance, but, the undocumented immigrants are left out. An example of this is the Obamacare Act. The only reason the Obamacare act was passed was because Republicans agreed to sign only if immigrants where not included in the Act. Unemployment and lack of health care go hand and hand. Undocumented immigrants that are unable to work cannot receive health care because they cant afford it. 1 http://www.freedombenefits.net/affordable-health-insurancearticles/Health-insurance-for-US-immigrants.html

The political party that is most likely going to improve the conditions in our community is the Democrats. The reason is because Democrats want to provide undocumented immigrants with a work permit so that they could be employed and that will decrease the unemployment. Democrats are also trying to pass the dream act law which will lead to citizenship for people going to college. This means that those people going to college will be able to obtain health care, which will reduce the lack of health care in my community. Not only will college students will benefit from this, but also their families.

Democrats position on the challenge of unemployment is to pass tax cuts, which will help the middle class and strengthen it, and lower college tuition, which will help students with their education, allowing them to continue on to a better future. Also they want to create more jobs which will decrease the unemployment rate. Democrats position on the challenge of lack of health-care is to help people by allowing them to get universal health care policy which allows every one the chance to receive health-care, helping a lot of families take care of the well being of their families. http://healthcare.procon.org/ http://www.wasatchwatcher.com/democratic-party.htm The Democratic party political ideology is liberal. They believe that the Federal government should be strengthened, well-funded, and large to be able to help all of the U.S. citizen. They believed is the right of the people to be helped by the Federal government. Federal government should protect the political beliefs of all people. With president Obama Latinos have freely been able to ask and demand for changes in their work, ave been able to get health care for their families and for themselves. With the Democratic party Latinos have more of a voice in the federal government. Republicans are known for being conservative which is why the Republican party is the opposing party. The Republican Party emphasizes to devote resources to border control in

Aaron Perez Kathya Perez Alexis Jimenez Dan Osornio contrast to the Democratic Party. That money could be used to fund better education systems or provide more jobs to the undocumented immigrants. The Republicans believe that in order for undocumented immigrants need certain requirement to because document. As of right now, people need to be a resident for 5 years to become a citizen, but Republicans believed that there should 2me more strict guidelines to become a citizen. 1 http://www.ontheissues.org/celeb/republican_party_immigration.htm Negative effect of increasing border patrol contradicts the American constitution. The United States of America is often referred as the land of the free meaning freedom to all the people in 3 The United States of America, but if undocumented immigrants are not given that opportunity, it impairs the Constitution. The shape of the Constitution changes for example, from a round sphere, to a plat 2 dimensional figure. Most of the jobs that undocumented immigrants do are heave duty jobs for example construction. Undocumented Immigrants help build our country, that why they should stay.

The Republican Party political ideology is conservative. What this means is that Republicans prefer strong states government rather than a strong national government. The Republican party want people to work on their own and be responsible for their selves. The Republican party believes people should not rely on the federal government anymore. This means taking aways food stamps and welfare. Republicans don't want immigrants in this country, they believe undocumented immigrants are taking the jobs from the legal citizens. http://2012.republican-candidates.org/Romney/Immigration.php The importance of voting is so the voice of the people can be heard. It shows the government what people want to see happen to the country. It is important to vote because who ever gets elected gets to make very important decisions that can affect your life. Also because a democracy

Aaron Perez Kathya Perez Alexis Jimenez Dan Osornio gives people the right to vote, there are other countries that have dictatorships and people don't have a say in what their government is doing, people in the U.S are given that chance yet people still decide not to vote. http://www.congresslink.org/print_expert_vote.htm 9 The importance of participating in interests groups is so that groups are made up of people with the same opinion. Being so they can easily collaborate together to find a solution for a issue. An example of an interest group is the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund which fight to create and protect immigrant rights. The importance of participating in a social movement is so the movement gets societys attention towards political and social issues, by doing things such as protests. Social are also good for spreading the word and gaining followers to make a change. An example of a social movement was the Civil Rights movement, they did peaceful protests, such as sitting out side courts, schools, and churchs. This is an example of a great social movement because it changed history, this shows that if people with the same interests come together in a social movement they can make a change even if it seems impossible. http://www.maldef.org/immigration/index.html

10 Two interest groups that help the undocumented Latino immigrants with social issues aere Dreamers and the NCLR.Dreamers are a group of people that want to be

provided with condition permanent residency to certain undocumented residents of good moral character. Its for the people who graduate from U.S. high schools.i would recommend people to join since undocumented immigrants who graduate from college should be provided with permanent residency. Another interest groups is NCLR. This group works on a variety of different issues affecting the Latino community in the U.S. such as health, housing, education, workforce development, and youth leadership. and also would helps immigrants with their health problems, which they might have, and will reduce the amount of people who do not have health care. The policy making institutions this interest groups target are the senate.

Aaron Perez Kathya Perez Alexis Jimenez Dan Osornio 11 Two Forms of Political Participation Dreamers have use one major way to support their ideas out to Latinos voters and to all the other voters out there. Through protest and Marches they have set visible ground for undocumented and have show there stories an lives to the American people. This helps many undocumented immigrants by getting the word out and having voters vote for the candidate that would represent them in the senate. With these actions more citizens would be involved in the movement. Causing more to come out to vote and raise the votes for the Latino community. it also increases the chance for the deferred action to increase. deferred gives many children of undocumented families to be able to work and study legally for 2 years.

. 12 Citizens should vote, because of the issues such as unemployment and lack of health care regarding Latino undocumented immigrants. Latino undocumented immigrants are not able to work because of lack of documentation, which leads to lack of health care due to the fact that they cannot afford it. Obama-care is a start when it comes to lowering the amount of people without health care because it gives all citizens the ability to have health care since the people who are not covered by Obama-care are undocumented immigrants makes the ACT unfair. In our community there is a large percentage of Latinos, that is why we want to encourage you all to go out and vote. By voting, we can help the undocumented immigrants achieve the American Dream because they come from a whole different land to prosper.
