U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Stopbullying.gov. N.p., n.d. Web. <www.stopbullying.gov>. This website is pretty much a basic knowledge website. If you wanted to know all the basis of cyberbullying, this is the site to go to. It gives you the definition of cyberbullying, preventions, and really how to identify it. According to this website, Cyberbullying happens when kids bully each other through electronic technology (USDHHS). Id definitely say the audience for this website is for anyone and everyone. It doesnt really target anyone in particular, just individuals who are interesting in learning about bullying and cyberbullying. This website is .gov which means its ran by the government, so the information is pretty reliable. It fits in my research because I definitely need to add that basic common knowledge of cyberbullying for those who dont really know the details about it.

Coloroso, Barbara. The Bully, the Bullied, and the Bystander. New York, NY: HarperCollins Publishers, 2008 Barbara Coloroso dedicates all of Chapter 10 in this book to cyberbullying. Overall, shes pretty much saying that since she first wrote this book, that technology has developed rapidly and influenced our lives tremendously. She gives brief examples of different children who have suffered from bullying. There was a little boy who a bully had posted his name and address on a website made to find sex partners for men. The bully stood on the other side of the street and watching men slowly start to show up at his home to get what they saw on this website. The characteristics of bullying an imbalance of power, the intent to harm, the threat of further aggression, and the creation of terror are magnified with the use of electronic technologies. Faceless and sometimes nameless electronic transmissions make it easy for bullies to torment their targets anywhere at any time, with apparent anonymity (Coloroso 208). Coloroso also identifies different solutions to stop the bullying or even prevent it from happening such as telling a trusted adult or block the bully from even contacting you in any form of fashion. I do feel as though this information is reliable in a sense that its definitely relatable and we hear these types of stories on a daily basis. The audience she is targeting is pretty much anyone whos trying to get the scope on cyberbullying. This fits into my research because she gives you plenty of examples as well as other valuable information that Ive already read about plus more on cyberbullying. I will use this source because like I noted before, she gives detailed examples that are well worth being put into my paper.

Sullivan, Keith. Bullying in Secondary Schools. London: Paul Chapman Publishing, 2004. This book is pretty much split up into four different sections. I chose this as one of my sources because it talked about research. Hands on information and research will be a good thing for such a paper. Sullivan acts on how this affects students who are in secondary schools. He writes about the positive and negatives features about school. The main point of this book is to show that with the power and help of faculty and stuff, bullying can be put to a stop. The audience for this book is primarily secondary school faculty and staff, as well as students and their families. I would say this book would also be good for counselors and pretty much any teacher of any level of education. I could potentially use this as one of my sources because it gives step-by-step details of different preventions to stop the bullying from happening in the first place or to stop it before it gets taken to far.

Sticca, F. "Longitudinal Risk Factors for Cyberbullying in Adolescence." JOURNAL OF COMMUNITY & APPLIED SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY .Special Issue (2012): 52-67 Sticca did a study on a total of 835 Swiss students on cyberbullying in their school. She was studying the risk factors that these adolescents have or are showing because of cyberbullying. The most common factor is antisocial behavior because they begin to fear the world and worry about matters becoming worse. She touches other risk factor basis such as self-esteem too. I would say her main audience for her journal would be teachers and counselors. I feel like this is so because she is trying to show the school system(s) what is really going on in the school that they arent really paying much attention to. I definitely could use this for my project because I could compare and contrast the Swiss students to student in North America. Obviously, cyberbullying is world-wide so I think itd be an excellent idea to put the two together and really see whats similar and whats not.
