Recommended Procedure for Dissolving Mackol CAS-100N
Low amounts [< 5%] of Mackol CAS-100N o Can easily be dissolved at ambient (25C) temperature with moderate stirring. For larger amounts [> 5%] of Mackol CAS-100N, o A slightly higher temperature will be more efficient: Preheat the Water phase to 35 40C (no higher) and turn heat off. Slowly add Mackol CAS-100N while moderately stirring; material should dissolve in a fairly short time (15 30 minutes). After Mackol CAS-100N has totally dissolved, continue with the manufacturing procedure.

NOTE: The dissolving of Mackol CAS-100N is an endothermic process; the batch temperature may drop 5 10C, depending on the amount of material to be dissolved. Also, if heat is not turned off after preheating, the material will turn into a hard, sticky gel and adhere to hot surfaces, like heating coils. Dissolution will then be very slow and time consuming.
