Task Analysis Lunge Visual Description: Stand in the ready position. Knees should be slightly bent. Shoulders will be straight forward square to the rest of body. Bring up either foot so that the knee comes up high towards the chest. Step with the foot up by the chest. Extend foot as far as possible until contacting the ground. Keep stretch comfortable. Bring knee to 90 degree bend but no further. Repeat these steps over and over until legs feel stretched and loosened up. Movement Sequence: 1. Ready position a. Knees slightly bent b. Shoulders square to body 2. Bring up either foot a. Knee to chest 3. Step with foot by chest a. extend foot 4. Comfortable Stretch a. Bring to 90 degree 5. Repeat Steps a. Task Analysis Hop Visual Description: Stand in the ready position on only one foot. The knee attached to the grounded foot should be slightly bent. Shoulders should be square/straight ahead. Bend the knee of the foot that is currently grounded. Bring upper body towards the ground almost as if you are trying to do a sit-up. Extend arms up reaching for the stars. Bring the one knee up towards the chest. This should bring the grounded foot off of the ground. Body should go up and come back down in the similar position it left from the ground. Land on the one foot being used to perform the hop bending the knee slightly to absorb the landing. Movement Sequence: 1. Ready Position a. Knee slightly bent b. Shoulders square 2. Bend knee a. Bring body to standing sit up position 3. Extend arms a. Up reaching for the stars 4. Bring grounded knee up a. Knee to chest b. Foot should come off ground 5. Land on originally grounded foot a. Task Analysis Jump Visual Description: Stand in the ready position on both feet. The knees should be slightly bent. Shoulders should be square with feet. Bend the knees in squat position. Bring upper body towards the ground almost as if you are trying to do a sit-up. Extend arms up reaching for the stars. Bring knees up to the chest. This should bring the grounded feet off of the ground. Body should go up and come back down in the similar position it left from. Land on both feet being used to perform the jump. Bend knees slightly to absorb the landing. Movement Sequence: 1. Ready Position a. Knees slightly bent b. Shoulders square with feet 2. Bend knees a. Knees should be in squatting position. 3. Task Analysis Slide Visual Description: Stand in the ready position. Stand with shoulders square with knees and feet. Knees should be slightly bent. Extend hands out from sides for balance. Step sideways with left or right foot. Slide opposite foot to the other foot. Repeat sequence over and over again until destination is reached. Movement Sequence: 1. Ready a. Shoulders Square 2.
