Brandon, Hembree. "Doing a World of Good: Benefits of Pesticides." Delta Farm Press. N.p., 3 May 2002. Web. 11 Mar. 2013. This talks about the serious need for pesticides and how they are used in all kinds of things. It also talks about the market for pesticides which helps promote the economy. Brandon explains how This source is highly helpful because it offers a different way to look at pesticides: economy and market standpoints. This also is bias for pesticides so its another standpoint to have a nonbias research.

Even, Dan. "Health Ministry Seeks Further Limits on Harmful Pesticides." Haaretz.com. N.p., 11 Mar. 2013. Web. 11 Mar. 2013. This article is very recent and talks about people looking deeper into pesticides and their effects on people. Even shows how the Ministry is conducting research on how pesticides are harmful to the human body. They want to prove pesticides are harmful and should not be used. It explains how it is highly harmful to pregnant women with fetus developmental issues. The Health Ministry is also trying to ban the use of pesticides. I think this article is useful to my research because it is recent and goes into details about the effects of pesticides.

Gunn, Donald L., and J. G. R. Stevens. Pesticides and Human Welfare. Oxford [Eng.: Oxford UP, 1976. Print. This source talks a lot about how there is a problem with either having food with pests on them or have adequate food. This source also points out that there is a problem using pesticides so it is bias like my other source. This also talks about solutions to using pesticides such as alternative practices. I think this will be helpful to explain different ways of treating our foods and goes into detail for each type of food. I think this will be a great source to have at my disposal.

Levine, Marvin J. Pesticides: A Toxic Time Bomb in Our Midst. Westport, CT: Praeger, 2007. Print. Levine goes into great detail about where pesticides are used and how there is actually a problem with using pesticides. It explains how the product is used in large agriculture and also to just common lawn care products. It also explains how the global market uses pesticides and also how there are remedies for pesticides. Levine also explains how pesticides are harmful to health by causing certain types of cancers. I believe that this source will be very helpful to me since it covers a wide variety on the types of pesticides used. It is however, seemingly one sided. I think

this will be helpful since I have other sources that have a counterargument which will be good for having non-bias research.

Simon, Michele. "Pesticides Are Good for You." Food Safety News. N.p., 17 Oct. 2011. Web. 11 Mar. 2013. This article talks about how pesticides are actually good to use in our foods. Simon explains that pesticides are fine because they kill insects that can actually cause damage to us rather than hurting us. It also talks about how this is used in processed foods and how they are fine as well since the processes are safer than people think. I like this source since it gives another standpoint on pesticides from a reliable food website. It also goes into the science of how the pesticides are safe so it will be nice to have a counterpoint in my paper that I can refer to.

Westing, Arthur H. Herbicides in War: The Long-term Ecological and Human Consequences. London: Taylor & Francis, 1984. Print. I really like this source because it covers a major pesticide: Herbicides and how it was used in war and now in agriculture. It is nice because it is very specific on the chemical makeup of Herbicides, and also goes into great detail about exactly how it is used. I think will be good to have so I can have another type of pesticides to talk about and also to compare and contrast them. This source also remains seemly unbiased so this will be nice for furthering my so far unbias research.
