Fee
Towards the end of every semester, the students shall be notified regarding the fee to be paid for the ensuing semester and are advised to submit the signed withdrawal slips with the fee amount written before a said date and they need to maintain the minimum balance in their bank accounts equivalent to the fee before the deadline. They shall be issued the fee receipts after the fee reconciliation process after couple of weeks of semester commencement.
Scholarships
Institute scholarships: Every semester institute offers a large number of Merit and Merit cum Need Scholarships in the form of fee waiver (ranging from 25% to 100%) to encourage and support the students to perform better. Merit Scholarships shall be awarded to highly meritorious students irrespective of their parental income. Merit-cum-Need scholarships are also awarded to students with parental income below the cut-off decided by the scholarships committee with a decently high CGPA/SGPA. Scholarships are also given to the most economically deserving students from Students Aid Fund.
External scholarships: Apart from Institute scholarships, many external scholarships like Angira, Ashok Agarwal, Pratibha, NTSE, Bhatia Bhushan, INSPIRE Scholarships etc. are also awarded to deserving candidates as per the requirements of the sponsors and the institutes policy . It shall be ensured by the division that a student is getting only one scholarship by taking the necessary declaration. Earn While You Learn Scheme: Apart from the scholarships, the students can also offer their services in various division related activities for which they get paid as per the institutes policy. This is called Earn While You Learn Scheme. The applications are invited from the interested students for such jobs and they are selected based on written test/interaction/both.
Issue of various certificates

Various certificates like bonafide, no objection certificates for overseas internships, address proof, CGPA conversion etc. are issued to students on their written request mentioning the reason for the same.
Railway Concessions
The division is planning to have collaboration with Indian Railways in getting the railway concessions for our students to travel to their hometowns during the vacations by taking their travel details in the prescribed proforma well before the vacation and arranging for the concessional tickets.
Mess Bill and Students Accounts

Every student registers online every month in the mess of his/her choice. The list of students registered in various messes shall be maintained in the division on a monthly basis and facilitate for payment of mess dues to the mess contractor in the first week of the following month by deducting the dues of every student from their mess advance. The division also facilitates the students to make various payments for T shirts, for participating in various workshops etc. from their mess advance with prior approval from the faculty In-charge SWD, Dean, General Administration and Accounts office. It also monitors and maintains students union and aid fund accounts.
Medicare
The division facilitates the students to get the necessary medicare when they fall sick. They are attended with utmost commitment by our hostel team in ensuring that they are given the timely treatment in our Internal Medical Centre or taking them to the reputed hospitals in the city in our ambulance. Medical Insurance of all students is also processed by the division.
Students Grievance Cell

The Institute has a Students Grievance Redressal cell comprising of Faculty In-charge, SWD and other senior faculty to address any student related grievances on a continuous basis and strive to arrive at the best possible and permanent solutions at the earliest.

Hostels: The Campus has 8 Hostels/Bhawans (6 Boys and 2 Girls) with the following capacities:-

Each hostel is well guarded by round the clock security. It is equipped with indoor games facilities like Table Tennis, Carroms, Chess, Foosball tables along with outdoor games facilities like volleyball, shuttle badminton courts, throw ball/tennis courts. There is also a common room in every hostel equipped with TV, magazines etc. for the recreation of the students. Each room is well furnished with a cot, table, chair and almirah and also well ventilated. All the hostels are also equipped with solar water heating systems, sufficient number of water coolers with a water purifier. Sports: The institute can boast of having state of the art sports facilities with two badminton courts with maple wood flooring, two lawn tennis courts and two basketball courts with synthetic surfaces
and a sprawling cricket and football ground. It also has a wellequipped Gymnasium for both boys and girls with cardiac and muscle sections. Dining Halls: There are currently two dining halls each of capacities 1000 and 500 with state of the art kitchen and dining areas. The entire mess operations like menu changes, hygiene etc. are monitored by Students Mess Council (elected body) to ensure that the food being served is hygienic and to the best satisfaction of the students. The dining halls are also provided with hot water through solar water heating systems.
Student Activity Centre (SAC)

The Student Activity Centre facilitates the running of various students clubs like Music, Drama, Dance, ELAS, Shades, Photography, etc. along with Students Union Office. It also has Indoor Games facilities like Table Tennis, Carroms, Chess, Billiards and Badminton courts. It also houses
an ultramodern Gymnasium for boys and girls. This is monitored by our Physical Education Instructor with the help of two support staff.
Medical Centre
The Medical Centre inside the campus equipped with essential health care facilities provides medicare for our students and staff round-the-clock. Two well experienced doctors with a skilled compounder cum lab-technician and a female nurse are always accessible for attending any medical case. It has a diagnostic lab to conduct few investigations and an ECG machine, Dental Set-up and defibrillator for any emergency. The institute has collaboration with reputed hospitals in the city like Mediciti, Yashoda, Oxygen for any serious cases. There is also a team of Visiting Specialists like Gynecologist, Pediatrician, Dentist etc. who offer their services on a weekly basis at our medical centre so that the residents of the campus can avail of their services with prior appointment. The ambulance facility with all primary amenities is available to take the students/staff to outside hospitals in case of emergency or serious cases.
Library with Seminar Hall

A state of the art library with Wi-Fi facility spread over 45,000 sq. ft. with an excellent interior design and aesthetics was inaugurated in the last semester. Books are depositories of knowledge and hold a place of pride in every educational institution. It is in two floors with a seating capacity of 450. It has a wide collection of books (more than 18000 books and over 175 national and foreign periodicals) of all disciplines including general books apart from access to a large number of e-books and e-journals. The students use this as a serene atmosphere for reading apart from getting few books issued for a limited period. It is operated by a Librarian and his team along with a committee of faculty members (Library Committee). A well designed seminar hall is also under construction in the library building to facilitate any important meetings/seminars/discussions.
Connaught Place
A shopping complex called Connaught place of 15,000sq.ft is available to cater to various needs of the residents with under given amenities:Bank(SBH) and ATM Medical Shop

Auditorium
A state of the art auditorium with ultramodern aesthetics, acoustics and seating capacity of 2500 is under construction in the campus and will be ready by mid-2013. That shall cater to the institutes needs like organizing conferences, convocation, students fests, Alumni meets etc.
The Election Commission

The Election Commission comprising of students and a faculty advisor was formed on 17th Sep 2008 which is responsible for the smooth and fair conduct of elections every year (around first week of September) as per the constitution. A constitution has been formulated that gives the
general guidelines of conduct of the elections for various positions, the eligibility criteria to contest, the responsibilities of various positions and clubs, impeachment procedure etc. It is the ECs responsibility to safeguard the constitution & make sure that there are no constitutional violations happening. Apart from this, the fest charter is also reviewed by the Election Commission at the start of every academic year and passed on to the new Students Union Council. The various posts for which the EC conducts the elections are: President General Secretary Union Cultural Secretary (1boy & 1 girl) Union Sports Secretary (1boy & 1 girl) Hostel Representatives (one per each hostel) M.E. Representative Students Mess Council (3 boys & 2 girls)

Corroboration Review Committee (CRC)

The Corroboration Review Committee is responsible for checking the accounts of expenditure of the Student Union body. All financial transactions taking place in the Students Union must be approved by the CRC before they can get a go-ahead. It also acts like a watch dog and keeps the finances in constant check. It shall actively participate in the budget preparation for various students fests and ensure that the accounts are audited properly after the fest.

Music Club
Introduction: Music club is the spectrum of people trained in various instruments and genres of vocals, is dedicated to harmoniously blending these elements to put forth a spectacle of performances. Objectives: To keep up our aim of spreading music. To learn music and propagate it to the maximum in our campus. No. of members: 45 Regular Events: Performances during Major events in the campus, Western and classical music nites, competitions of various sorts.
Dance Club
Introduction: Dance club is the group of people who make the audience jump out of their chairs, whistle and cheer the extra ordinary dance moves on the stage. Objectives: To gather the best and most talented dance enthusiasts in the college to form a group that is proficient in all dance forms. Mission: To be able to learn as well as teach the fellow partisans different forms of dances and become the best group of dancers! Drama Club
Introduction: The most awaited club for their outstanding performance on stage. Drama club is specialised at its unique way of expression of the message and content.
Objectives: To make the audience forget all the problems and worries of this world and take them to the world which is cherished by one and all. The drama club believes that laughter is the best medicine and when this is combined with creativity creates magic. The club aims at promoting various types of expression like stage play, mime, spoof and many more. No. of members: 55 Regular events: Performances of all varieties ranging from serious stage plays to comic mimes, Formal and informal competitions like mad ads, channel surfing, etc.
Journal Club
Introduction: Journal club gives the students in depth technical knowledge of various branches through the means of its magazine and newsletters. The institutes annual magazine called On the Rocks shall be edited and prepared by the club
Objectives: To have a regular technical magazine in the college to which students look forward to. To impart information about technical events and share the experiences of past events organized by various associations of different disciplines and sharing those aspects of the field which the students are not aware of. Providing the students a proper platform to share their technical knowledge with their counterparts so that everyone can benefit. To share experiences of faculty and help them reach out to all students about topics not discussed in classrooms and to those who have not been able to take up that course. To update students about latest developments and research in the world in disciplines related to them. No. of members: 37 Regular events: Release of the technical magazine and newsletter every semester, conducting competitions on the basis of advancing technology.
Shades
Introduction: Shades is the arts club. The Club provides a forum for all those interested and involved in arts. It promotes fine art, digital art and sculpturing amongst students. Objectives: The club aims at conducting a number of workshops for members as well as nonmembers on painting, sketching, sculpturing and digital art at regular intervals. The clubs other major work is decorating the campus during special occasions such as festivals etc. No. of members: 85 Regular events: Decorating the campus for all the important occasions, adding colour to the festivals celebrated in the campus, workshops throughout the year in various fields of arts, organising competitions which are both formal and informal.
ELAS
Introduction: ELAS, (ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACTIVITIES' SOCIETY), is a literary body which looks into the genuine literary skills and interests of the students.
Objectives: To create a literary environment on campus. To provide a platform where students can exhibit their literary talents. To encourage the students to shed their inhibitions and participate in campus activities and events. No. of members: 59 Regular events: ELAS conducts various events like FERVOUR, Shangri La before every Pearl. It is the only club to have solely organised a literary fest, VERBA MAXIMUS, with wide participation from many reputed colleges in the city. We wish to scale up the event in future The other thing in which ELAS is involved is their newsletter, THE QUILL which briefs the college about the regular activities of the club. Other activities conducted by ELAS: DEBATE is a trademark event. This is a part of every ELAS event routine. JAM (just a minute), is also one of the popular events conducted by ELAS regularly. Photography Club
Introduction: The club responsible for the everlasting memories of the college life. Be it a festival, event or campus itself, they come back to life with the captures of photography club. Objectives: The main aim of photography club is to show people what the world is through the lens of a camera. To develop the quality photographers and encourage the amateurs in photography. To cover all the majors events going on in the campus and preserve them. To improve innovation in photography. No. of members: 55 Regular events: Covering all the events in campus, Workshops on photography, Field trips of photography, various competitions.
VFX Club
Introduction: A club which creates the wonders in the digital world using their creativity and skill. From young bubbly film makers to all the technical crew and cinematographers, the club covers all the areas of film making and animation industry.
Objective: To provide a path to the interested animators and video editors. The teaching and learning is through practical approach. Specialises in 3D modelling, animation, composting and video editing. No. of members: 60 Regular events: Workshops on various softwares like Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro, Sony Vegas, Blender, Maya and many more, assistance to short film makers in the campus, Various competitions for short movies.
CRUx
Introduction: CRUX is the Programming and Computing Education Club of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. It has successfully completed many software projects for the institute and it continues to function actively by teaching enthusiasts and distributing technical knowledge on campus.
Objective: To conduct lectures on various programming topics by an in house team of members good in the respective programming languages and also help the campus in the development of any application or web product required for day to day use. Mess Procedures
Mess operations are managed by Students Mess Council and Student Welfare Division shall facilitate them whenever required. Every month a student registers online in the mess of his / her choice. The mess council shall ensure that the food being served is of good hygiene and in line with the contract terms. The menu shall be periodically revised based on the feedback of the students. The students can get the mess rebate by giving prior information when he / she is out of station as per the policy approved by the mess contractor and the SMC.

Internal:
Pearl: This is our National Annual Techno-Cultural fest organized every year in the third week of February with wide participation from various reputed institutes across the country. There shall
be various competitions conducted in cultural and technical arenas for the students to showcase their talents. Pro Shows shall also be arranged on every day to entertain the student community and participants. Pearl 2012 has been a huge success with a participation of nearly 7000. This is mostly managed by sponsorships from various organizations. This entire event is managed by STUCCAN bodies formed by the students union.
VERBA MAXIMUS: This is the literary fest initiated by our ELAS club in 2012 and it was a great success and shall continue to be organized every year henceforth around first week of February. This focuses mainly on literary aspects like debate, vocabulary etc. REGIONAL FESTS: There are various Regional Associations like Brindavanam, Sangam, Tamil Sangham, Myhthri, Maharashtra Mandal, Geetanjali etc. with a faculty advisor who shall organize to celebrate their regional festivals with lot of fervor and enthusiasm by generating the funds from their registered members.
External:
Apart from Internal Fests, our students are encouraged to participate officially in various fests conducted in other BITS Campuses like Oasis, Spree, Apogee, Waves, BOSM, Quark etc. They are also encouraged to participate in the events conducted by highly reputed institutes with special approval.
