IMPORTANCIA DE LA MUJER EN EL COMERCIO Detrs del xito de una empresa siempre hay una mujer.

Ese es el sentir en la Cmara de Comercio de Guatemala (CCG), principal organizador del sptimo Congreso de mujeres lderes guatemaltecas que se llevar a cabo el prximo 2 de octubre en el hotel Camino Real. El presidente de la CCG, Jorge Briz, resalt que de acuerdo con los estudios de mercado que han efectuado, cada da las mujeres tienen ms peso en el comercio. Por esa razn buscan promover estas experiencias para contribuir de esa manera con el desarrollo del pas. Cul es el papel de la mujer en la actualidad? La importancia de la mujer en los distintos campos de la vida nacional es de suma relevancia y trascendental importancia, tomando nota del aspecto particular de las mujeres que se han dedicado al comercio y son empresarias. Afortunadamente cada da ms mujeres participan en la vida comercial del pas. Es por eso que la Cmara de Comercio cada ao viene fortaleciendo el Congreso de mujeres lderes guatemaltecas. Este ao el evento se llevar a cabo el 2 de octubre en el hotel Camino Real, donde esperamos a unas 1,500 empresarias de todo el pas. Muchas de ellas son lderes en sus comunidades, con la inquietud de seguir preparndose y ser ms competitivas en el rea empresarial. La participacin de la mujer es importante, entonces...? Es muy importante porque es a nivel nacional que cada da ms mujeres participan en el mbito comercial y tienen la direccin de sus negocios, que muchos de ellos son familiares donde participan juntamente con el esposo. Pero en su mayora es la mujer la que marca el liderazgo claro y evidente con mucha disciplina y el establecimiento de estrategias. Cul es uno de los objetivos de este tipo de enfoque femenino? Hemos conformado un crculo de mujeres donde se les da capacitacin y es evidente su nivel de profesionalismo. En muchas situaciones el representante legal de una empresa es el esposo, pero tambin hemos notado con mucha satisfaccin que ellas han venido tomando esos papeles de liderazgo y son quienes conforman el equipo de trabajo en los ncleos familiares. En el interior se da mucho y por eso decidimos extender el camino de dar relevancia a la mujer porque en la toma de decisiones ella cada da tiene ms peso en la sociedad guatemalteca. Las participantes en el Congreso? Un gran nmero de participantes son afiliadas a la Cmara de Comercio o al crculo de mujeres de la Cmara, aunque tambin hay quienes no lo estn. Un 55% son lderes del interior y un 45% de la capital. En total tenemos unos 9 mil afiliados. Es un evento que convoca a asociadas y no asociadas. Qu otras actividades impulsan en beneficio de las mujeres? Contamos con un sistema de capacitacin en el que formamos tanto a hombres como a mujeres. Adicionalmente est el crculo de mujeres empresarias donde se les da formacin empresarial y hay cursos; por lo general, dos reuniones al mes. Son temas relacionados con el fortalecimiento empresarial y competitividad. Asimismo, realizamos encuestas para saber cules son los temas de mayor inters. En el interior tambin tenemos 37 filiales y gremiales y en estas organizaciones con juntas directivas tambin hay una participacin en cada una de las filiales. Por ejemplo, en Quetzaltenango tambin tienen toda una organizacin referente y que apoya a mujeres empresarias.
