ThatishowIendedPartI(seeithere)ofthebookreviewofOutwittingTheDevilbyNapoleon Hill.EventhoughMr.Hillwrotethisbookin1938,heneglectedtopublishit,becausehewas promptedbyhiswifetosparetheirlivesofanyrepercussionsthatmighthaveoccurred.Really, itwasnottherighttimeyet. Thisbookcanbeverycontroversialeventoday,IFthetruthisnotwhatyouareseeking.Keep readingifyouwanttruth,andwouldliketohearhowthisbookrelatestothegreatestselfhelp bookeverwritten.theHolyBible.

    NapoleonHillhasthisinterviewwiththedevilwhilehewasinagreatdilemmaofthoughtsafter finallygettingsuccessandlosingitallayearlaterduringthedepressionof1929.Heforcedhis wayintotheconsciousnessofthedevil,andbegantheunwillinginterviewwithquestionsthat couldnotbeevaded. Whatwasthatfruitreferringto?Letslookat{IICorinthians11:3}whereitexplainsthatthe serpentssubtilitywillcorruptyourmindfromthesimplicitythatisinChrist. Hilltellsofhowthedevilansweredthathelivesinthemindsofpeoplewhofearhim.Thedevil alsoaddedIamthenegativeportionoftheatom.Withthepositiveportionbeingwhatweon earthcallGod.Thedevilwentontosaythatherepresentsthenegativesideofeverything, includingthethoughtsofearthboundpeople.     Thedevilthentalksoftwosecretprinciplesinhisinterviewthatheusestogaincontrolofthe mindsofpeoplehabitanddrifting.Habitisselfexplanatory,butadrifterisonewhopermits himselftobeinfluencedandcontrolledbycircumstancesoutsideofhismind. Driftingisthemostcommoncauseoffailureineverywalkoflife.Withnorealpurposeinlife, thedriftersuccumbstoflattery,vanity,egotism,sex,andpropagandathatistaughtinschools andchurches.Thisoftenleadstohypnoticrhythm. Hypnoticrhythmasexplainedbythedevilisthelaststageofhabit.anythoughtorphysical movementrepeatedoverandoverashabitwillfinallyreachthisphaseofrhythm.

    GettingbacktothebibleJeremiah{6:19}talksabouttheevilthatcomesfromthefruitof thoughtswhenitrejectsthewordsofGod(thepositiveportionoftheatom).ThenRomans{8: 67}tellsofbeingcarnallyminded,whichistheenemyofGod,notevensubjectingitselftothe lawofGod. So,youseethatyouhavethepowertobecontrolledbythedevil,orchooseyourowncallingby discoveringyourownmind.

    HowDoYOUOutwitTheDevil
    Wehavelearnedthatthedevillivesinthemindsofpeople,andusesfeartocausethemtodrift andgetintoakindofhypnoticrhythm.Howcanyoubreakfreeandoutwitthedevil? Youhavetogainmasteryoveryourself,yourownthoughts,bychoosingdefinitenessofpurpose. Thedevilstatesitbest Thepersonwhogoestoprayerwithdefinitenessofpurposeandfaithintheattainment ofthatpurposeputsintomotionthelawsofnaturewhichtransmuteonesdominating desiresintotheirphysicalequivalent. Hillgivesasimilarsummaryatthecloseofthisgreatbook,butaddsthatyoushouldhave .Definitenessofpurposebackedbydefinitenessofplans,withtheaidofnatureslawof hypnoticrhythmandtime!
