RECAP: The Rainiers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the 2nd innings and held on after allowing a 5-run 7th inning as Tacoma defeated
Reno 7-6 on Friday night. The win gave the Rainiers their first 10-game winning streak since securing victories in 10 straight contests, July
29-August 10, 2008. It also put the team 9 games over .500 for the first time since the club was 61-51 on August 5, 2010. Starter James
Paxton (5.0,2,1,1,1,9) struck out a season-high 9 batters in 5.0 inning to earn his 2nd win of the season. RH Tyler Burgoon (1.0,2,3,3,2,0)
and RH Logan Bawcom (1.2,4,2,2,0,3) combined to allow 5 runs in the 7th inning, while LH Brian Moran (0.2,0,0,0,0,1) and RH Danny
Farquhar (0.2,1,0,0,0,1) held the Aces scoreless over the final 1.1 innings to secure the win. Farquhar recorded the final 2 outs to record
his 4th save of the season. SS Carlos Triunfel (3x4, 2 R, 2B) led the Rainiers with 3 hit, while LF Nate Tenbrink (2x4, R, HR, 3 RBI), 1B
Rich Poythress (2x3, 2 R, 2 2B, BB), DH Scott Savastano (2x4, R, 2 RBI), C Jesus Sucre (2x4 R, 2 RBI) each recorded multi-hit
contests.
OF NOTE: INF Nick Franklin has hit safely in 17 of 20 games this season, .356 (26x73) with 16 runs scored, 4 doubles, 3 home runs, 14
RBI, 4 stolen bases and 16 walks. OF Eric Thames went 0x3 snapping his on-base streak at 27 games, which is the longest on-base
streak in the PCL this season. Overall this season he is batting .330 (36x109) with 21 runs scored, 7 double, 1 triple, 5 home runs, 18 RBI,

PCL AWARDS: INF Nick Franklin was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week and RHPAndrew Carraway was named the
leagues Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 22-28. Over the last 7 days, Franklin has batted .474 (9x19) with 7 runs scored, 3
doubles, 1home run, 6RBI and 6 walks in 5 games. Franklin ranked 10th in the league with 9 hits over that span, highlighted by a 5-for-5
outing at Las Vegas on April 25 He was the 2nd Rainiers player to record at least 5 hits in a game, while reaching base 6 times reaching
with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 1 walk. Carraway flirted with a no-hitter in his lone appearance last week on April 26 at Las
Vegas. He held the 51s hitless through 6.1 innings and ended the night surrendering just 2 hits and striking out 5 batters through 7.0
scoreless frames. He has earned a win in each of his last three starts and has compiled a 3.38 ERA through 5 outings this season. This
marks the first time Tacoma has swept the weekly league awards since Abraham Nunez won Player of the Week honors and Masao Kida
won Pitcher of the Week accolades June 13-19, 2005. OF Mike Wilson (June 11-18, 2012) was the last Rainiers player to be named Player
of the Week, and RH Erasmo Ramirez (May 29-June 4, 2012) was the last Tacoma pitcher to be named PCL Pitcher of the Week.

CANCELLED RAIN
RECAP: Last nights game between Jackson and Jacksonville was cancelled because of rain and
the heavy threat of rain in the forecast. The game will not be made up. The Generals will play the
scheduled doubleheader with the Suns on Saturday. Jackson is currently 12-15 on the season and
is four games back of the first place Birmingham Barons in the North Division. Jackson and
Jacksonville have split the first two games of the series.
OF NOTE: RHP Taijuan Walker has allowed only 2 earned runs in his last 5 starts (6 R), lowering
his season ERA from 7.20 to 1.54. Overall this season, he is 3-2 with a 1.54 ERA (6 ER, 35.0 IP) in

HITTING FOR THE CYCLE: Abraham Almonte (4x5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, HR, 4 RBI) completed the cycle
on April 27 at Chattanooga. It was the first cycle in Jackson franchise history, dating back to 1998,
when the Generals were known as the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. But it was the 2nd cycle in 10
days for a Mariners prospect after Carlos Triunfel accomplished the feat for Triple-A Tacoma on
April 17. Almonte hit a solo homer in in the third inning, a bases-loaded triple in the 4th inning, and
singled in the 5th and got his 5th RBI of the evening. After being called out on strikes in the 6th
inning, Almonted lined a 2-2 pitch to right field for a double to complete the cycle.
