CHECKS TO BE PERFORMED 1 Ensure all material are new and not damaged. 2 Check that only proper manufactured standard fittings are used for changes in direction, branch take-off, reduction in pipe sizes etc.
3 Check the spacing of supports as per the approved drawings and NFPA 13 Code. 4 Check the pipe routing and layout as per the approved the construction drawings. 5 Inspect the joint are done properly with approved methods / materials and ensure there are no sharp edges and burrs.
6 Check the piping is installed straight and aligned properly. 7 8 9 10 Check the installation of valves , test points, gauges, alarm devices, drains etc as per approved drawings. Check the installation and spacing of sprinkler head as per approved drawings and hazard classification. Check coordination of sprinkler piping and sprinkler heads with other services and reflected ceiling. Check and ensure sleeves are provided at wall crossings and fire stopping completed as per approved details.
CHECKS TO BE PERFORMED 11 12 13 14 15 Check expansion couplers / provision are made at location where the piping crosses the building expansion joints. Check the avialabilty of minimum clearance of 25mm from walls, 100mm for ceiling / floor and 200 from electrical conduits cables. Check provision for draining the water from all section of pipe work are made at the lowest points, as per approved drawings. Check auto air vents are provided at highest points as per approved shop drawings (where applicable) Check the entire piping is applied with primer and smoothly finished with two coats of red paint as approved.
16 Check the pipe work is identified and valves tags are provided as approved. 17 The entire piping system is hydrostatically pressure tested for leaks and defects.

Check Fire Hose Cabinets are installed correctly as per approved details and drawings. Check all Hose Reels and Hose Racks and their components are installed properly as per approved drawings.

Check the open ends are plugged and pipe work is protected during the construction period. Check the pipe work is identified and valves tags are provided as approved.

CHECKS TO BE PERFORMED 19 20 The entire piping system is hydrostatically pressure tested for leaks and defects in accordance with specifications. Check and ensure the piping system is flushed and cleaned prior to commissioning.
